Hi De Hi Cambridgers :j
Am more 'with it' today and refocused again, managed the day without being naughty yay day 45 :j 17 days until i start add a meal for a few days for my birthday night out :T heres to a good girls night out
Re the bars PIRATESS - i've been on them since day 1, i know most dont recommend this but i've stopped and started Cambridge so much over the last year or so she doesn't seem to mind, and obviously they've made no difference at all to my weight loss, may be worth giving them a go, see how it goes, i know it affects people differently !
This will make you smile....my friend asked me at work last night (who knows I'm doing Cambridge) what i was giving up for lent....i said that i didnt really have anything left to give up and her reply was.....what about chocolateguess people who aren't doing the diet don't quite fully understand the process :rotfl:

Ooooh, now let's think, what could a CD/LLer give up for lent, hilarious! I suppose I could give up buying magazines, they're my big temptation.....0
-
My only treat is my CD jelly - it's so yummy!!! I made it with the summer berry flavouring yesterday and at half a bowl last night - I was quite naughty on Sunday as we bought a pre-cooked chicken on from Asda and every time I went to the fridge I sneaked a piece but now as my jelly is there instead if I get the urge to eat I just have a spoonful of that. I suppose I could give that up for lent... but I don't want to0

Hi everbody,
My first weight in was last night and i have lost 8lbs, is that good? I was bit dissapointed as i had heard u could lose alot more in the first wk and i lost 9lbs the first wk i did LL before. My wii fit lied to me and said id lost 11lbs so was bit deflated. Been following it 100% and been very pround of myself and still am but feelin a bit sick and woosy today, for the first day since i started, just sitting getting bit more water down me now and hoping it passes as i dont actually feel im gettin a bug, just bit sicky.
I think if i only lose 2lbs or something next wk i wont feel its worth it, but thats me.....im too much of a slavedriver to myself...i just look at everyone elses losses and hope mine will be similar.
Im 5ft 11 and hav 4 pks a day and dont feel hungry at all. It does get rather boring but im hoping next wks loss will be a good one too is it usual to not lose much on ur 2nd wk or can u still lose 5-6lbs??? Any feedback would be appreciated, nice to have some support from u guys on here xxx:j0 -
Yay, well done on losing 8lb, I hear the disappointment, and have felt it before myself too, but sit back and think EIGHT POUNDS, that's however many bags of sugar/butter/etc etc that are GONE FOR GOOD.
There is likely to be a difference between your wiii and her scales, due to calibration, the floor texture both machines are sitting on, whether you needed to have a wiiiiiiiat the time you stood on the scales. My difference between the morning bathroom weighin and the LL counsellor's scales was 3lb, which is huge, but every pound lost is a gain in your health, happiness, start of your new life.
I'm struggling this afternoon, my back is hurting and I've just popped some standard painkillers and am supposed to be going out for a sparkly water with a friend this evening. I have been thinking s*d it, just have some food and decent drugs but I know that it would then lead to a binge
Keep your fingers crossed everyone that I don't cave in and the ibuprofin does its job quickly! I don't want to be posting a gain tomorrow and beating myself up about it for days.....I want to be back at 8 stone off my original weight!!0 -
8Lbs is amazing ! .. I lost 7 in my first w.i and then 7 the week after but then only 2 ...
what you have to think is ... if i was doing ww or sw or any other similar kind of diet would i be having the same fab losses ? ...you did great
Kittikins sorry to hear your strugglinghope you manage to make it through today xx
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
8lb is still 8lb - I lost 13lb in my first week then only 2lb the week after so it tends to even itself out and you never know you may have a big loss this week too0

hey everyone,
So glad everyone is doing well, sorry to hear your back is hurting tho kittikins.
Tara, well done on the loss. At the beginning it is maly water you are loosing so you are still loosing the average amount of fat each week, I have been told. My first loss was 10 and 3/4 pounds then the next week was 7 lb last week was only 4lb so I know what it is like when you feel it isn't wuite enough. I had that feeling last week but was told it could have been that I was not drinking quite enough. I did slip on the fluids a bit so making up for it this week. I suppose it just varies from person to person.
Either way 8lb is still fantastic! well done, it will all pay off in the end.
I feel ill today. I am coming down with a chest infection and am hoping it wont effect the diet. Does anyone know if I start taking antibiotics and steroids for my lungs (which is generally the case when my lungs get bad) will I have to start eating food again?
I hope it wont effect it but I spose it will only be a temporary glitch if it does.
Hope everyone has a good night!0 -
Hi all
I’ve re-started the diet today! I have had a couple of false starts over the last 18 months or so but this time I really have to do it. I have in excess of 10 stones to lose but am going to break the targets into manageable 1stone chunks so that it seems less daunting. My first big goal is to have lost 4 stones by May 17 for a trip back to the North East (where I’m from originally) and to celebrate this achievement I will have my hair restyled and have a totally new colour.:j
Today is day 1 (I had some meals left over from my last attempt) and I will see my CDC for first weigh in on Friday. I have only a rough idea of what I weigh at the moment, so this week’s loss won’t be particularly accurate but that will not deter me.
Have to admit I’m struggling with the hunger pangs, I’ve had my 3 meals but will need another shortly as I’m so hungry, but that’s ok, at my size I can have 4 a day anyway. I hate water and always struggle to get that down me and I love tea. Today I’ve done well with the water and had 3 teas with a sweetener and dash of milk. I will attempt another weak black tea later if I can face it!
Any tips greatfully appreciated along with lots of encouragement please!
