Hey HWGA ..sorry to hear your struggling a little ... I think it does get to you like that somtimes! ... Ive only had one person notice ive lost weight and that was a mum at school but she knew i was doing the diet so guess she was being nice lol
OH keeps calling me a racing snake but think hes just going OTT with being nice lol ..
I have to say it was when i dropped a dress size (in the WW days) that i got the odd comment, and mostly it was just about my face ..

You wait and see ;) those comments will come ;) ... I came off the wagon when i went to see my parents for much the same reason as u .. i was on holiday i dont see them often and the pub on a sunday is a routine thing i needed to socialise ..
I ate chicken and salad as a meal the night before and then the sunday lunch time i had chicken and veggies .. and then went out ... drank but didnt go mad .. and was back on it the day after ..Whatever works for you hun .. Just dont drink without eating ~hugs~
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!

    Hey everyone,

piratess and HWGA well done on your loss! and everyone else that has dropped those pounds.

Well I am doing good, valentines day was interesting and consisted of me eating my soup before we went out whilst OH had a Kebab, it smelt sooo good but managed to resist well. We went to the cinema and I cut up a CD chewey bar into little bits to munch on through the movie along with a sparkling water. Was a Shame we couldn't go for a meal but the OH is talking about making it up for next year. Was a lovely night though.

I am still 100% since I started but nearly failed as I was cooking for the family and accidently went to taste the dinner before serving! caught myself though and all was saved!

Well here is to my W.I on thursday, hopefully will be a good one now I have started forcing more water down me. Still need to sort out the GP however before the next W.I.

Hope everyone has a good CD day! :A
  • Hi
Can I join you. I am starting CD in morning. Did it for a quick fix before I got married few years ago. Have been dieting and have lost 2 stone as TTC but have a fertility appt in just over 3 weeks and still need to lose around 8lbs to get my BMI down so have decieded to do Cambridge again. Planning on doing for 6-8 weeks, moving up plans and then calorie counting again. But will see how I am doing and feeling and may try and do it longer.

    Hello everyone

Well done the weight loss Piratess - another 5lb is amazing!!!

Well... I'm not hoping too much for this week, I succumb to OH's gentle nudging to have a chinese for Valentines day

    (The conversation actually went
OH - I fancy a chinese, how about you?
Me - oooo - chinese, but my diet..
OH - ok we wont then... (pause for response)
Me - no no - valentines is a special day)

But I have to say I am very proud at how restrained I was, normally we order Dim Sum for starters (I LOVE Seaweed and prawn toast) then deep fried chicken sweet and sour style with chips and egg fried rice... but I had... chicken with mixed vegatables and instead of chips I had stir fried mushrooms. Very proud of my potential binge. And the best thing is I'm still in ketosis :j

Also does anyone fell like their entire lives have been changed by Cambridge already? I'm only on my 5th week but my approach to life has completedly altered - previously I use to drag myself out of bed and whinge bout everything - my job, my weight, my looks, my life but now... I mean I don't exactly jump out of bed (I have to be up at 6.30am) but I'm so much happier - I even use my half hour commute on the motorway to indulge in a bit of steering wheel guitar - so embarassing when you get caught though, lol. My best example of this has to be my hair (sounds weird I know) but I've been growning my hair for the past 10+ years and the other day I went to the hairdressers and told her to chop it off, now she was very surprised as the last time she cut it I cried because she took half an inch off - now I have gone from very long hair to a short platinum blonde bob a la Danni Minogue style - it sounds really shallow but I find it really liberating and I was worried about it making my face look fatter or older but I have never recieved so many compliments - it's been such an ego boost. Does anyone else feel like this or am I just being a crazy lady again?

Hi Stokey, well done on the chinese, I lurve seaweed and am now craving it (in a good way, thinking of a nice girly weekend i have planned in the summer and how we can go and have chinese at a great restaurant near us :) )

Also - I had my hair cut off once I started really showing the weight loss too and I feel like a new woman! I had mid-back length hair and now have a bob of sorts, getting it cut again on Saturday, I can't wait!!

I'm feeling v-e-r-y perky this evening, not only have I bought myself a GORGEOUS new dress for only £3, yup three pounds!! at M&S that I am going to want to wear every single day until it falls off me because I'm slimmed out of it, but also I tried on the size 16 non-elasticated waist skirt I bought the other day and I can do it up!!!

Well Good Morning :) .. ya know this lil thread never ceases to make me smile! ...
kittikins and stokey you have just made me smile! .. both your posts are so uplifting :) .. and i have to agree! .. I feel more awake when i get out of bed now .. Im noticing my curves are returning (slowly) ... the hair thing im not sure about trying to grow it ive been bottle blonde for 10 yrs and the thought of dying it to more my natural colour is exciting .. BUT daunting .. and having it cut umm again exciting but daunting .. ive always fancied a short short choppy style .. Maybe one day lol

Im working today till 1 working my notice so im sure ill get some rubbish calls between now and next week no doubt lol ...
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!

Yay to a smiley pirate :) hope everyone else is feeling smiley too. I woke up feeling g-r-e-a-t for some unknown reason, maybe today's going to be a good day. Working from home with a sore back but hey, at least I lost another pound so will just take it nice and easy.

Hope people don't mind me posting my daily losses, it's just that as I'm going it alone for a few more weeks before either going back to LL or maybe taking up CD to save money (although I like and seem to need the counselling aspect of LL), I don't have a weekly weigh in and I'm quite obsessed with losing the weight!
