What a load of bollox. This rate needs to seriously start climbing, if it reaches 1.8 by July 1st then ill get a hard on over it, until then ill remain !!!!ed off and disappointed and that some bell end somewhere effected the beautiful rate of 2.10 i managed to get not so very long ago.

argh..... decisions, can't decide whether to buy another chunk on CCS for honeymoon, as the rate for 5th july onwards is 1.6350. Or hope cable resumes its upward trend (ooh! "cable"! Look at me with the lingo!)
CCS rate for 25th July onwards is 1.6595, unfortunately too late for us but could be a good deal if the consensus is that sterling has reached its peak for now. but who knows. not me, that's for sure.0 -

I've read on several websites that the "experts" say it'll drop in the short term before it continues to rise above the levels we have now. But what the time frame is for "short term" heaven only knows...0 -

Its coming really nice thanks. Only 7 weeks to go before i get out of this shithole.
BUT i have about $800 worth of hotels reserved so obviously any rise in the exchange rate is a good one.
I am being a bit harsh i suppose, i remember when the dollar was 1.6 and we were happy, then rose to 2.10 and i made 4 trips within about 6 months (the trick was booking through US sites) then i went a few months ago and got 1.32 and was !!!!ed right off. But now its rising im getting a little bit excited, still its not quite at the rate id like - but then i guess im not alone in thinking that0 -
I've reserved some more at 1.62 and have till tomorrow to buy it. I'll wait and see what the next 24hours brings before i pay for it. Im away in 5 weeks and would hate it to drop big time again.0

just dipped to 1.61 and then in the space of a few minutes jumped up to 1.62!! There is hope out there.
I'm feeling particularly lazy this afternoon. Stuffed myself with sushi at the Japanese buffet at lunch.
Just managed to get 2 tickets to see the Killers. A long weekend in Louisville's finest hotel* awaits the misses... when she eventually gets here....

09:01 05Jun09 GBP seen under heavy selling pressure
(GBP) GBP seen under heavy selling pressure as the European session gets underway with cable a full 6 big figures off Wed's highs and EUR/GBP almost 3 big figures off its lows at 1.6030 and 0.8860 respectively. GBP has been hit by the 'double whammy' overnight of another senior minister quitting PM Browns cabinet, and not for family reasons, coupled with an expected poor showing in European and local election voting that took place yesterday. Cable seen in real danger of breaking below key psychological support to test towards 1.5920 (low last Fri) with additional downside pressure coming from those players that were late to join the GBP rally and who are now looking for a narrowing exit. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
