Yippee! just ordered $800 from Saga, by phone, as I trust them.
Did click on Tesco, Thomas Cook and ICE links, but had a 'site not verified' message on my mac.
Anyone had that?Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Just been up to BestForeignExchange at Liverpool street, London to get $2500 for $1548.95 after placing an order online. Seems a very popular place, considering the length of the queue.0

Took cash.
If you have not been before, here are directions
From liverpool street station, take Bishopsgate exit ( where escalators are to steet level)
Head right out of station
Take next right into Liverpool St
Walk about 75m
You'll see "The Arcade" and its in there.0 -

Not going until end of July but bought a few $ (USD and CAD) today as rate is currently best it's been for quite a while :T.
I usually get a few every now and again while out shopping and tuck them away ready for the next trip.
Working on the principle that if I start buying now the rate will carry on rising (and I'll wish I waited and got them all at the higher rate) but if I don't buy some now, at the best it's been for a while, it'll start going down again and I'll wish I'd bought at the better rate2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

That's what I think too lol - Keep your receipts with the money, so if you do get a better higher rate at a later date then you can use that money against a bigger purchase say dinner/hotel etc... That's what I am going to do.
Fingers crossed it goes up!0 -

Hi there
Have you used the moneychecker?
http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/
Not sure where about your are located, but you have options to collect.
Do weigh up the difference in travelling to get the rate for 1.6/1 ish (cost, time etc) As it may be worthwhile sticking with a decentish rate of 1.59 is local to you. As for the post office
I got a rate for 1.604 did have to travel a bit (Liverpool street) but local rates were not as good. And I thought for 2 more dollars that 1.61 would get me I may as well buy now for the 1.604
Not sure about exchanging there. I have never done it, others may be able to give you advice - Although the rate may be worse in 2 weeks... You never know.0 -
