I have 1.6 as a ceiling. Theres always a chance of anything happening.
Exchange rate is roughly about how much a country imports and exports so it includes all sorts.
Two things you can watch are the ten year government bond yield. America returns a lower rate of interest then us and so currency can follow the higher rate, this probably explains why sterling did well recently.
We have more inflation and in turn likely a higher interest rate as well as this already being true now
USA is 2.69% UK is closer to 4% I think
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=%5EtnxCCE have a special offer on euros of €1.2420 for delivery on 21 October. You need to call to get that rate.
Thanks Luci0 -
The British Pound has notably re-coupled with overall risk sentiment, showing a correlation reading of 0.78 with the MSCI World Stock Index on 20-day percent change studies. This hints that the path of least resistance points lower after stocks reversed sharply lower having tested May’s swing top to post the worst weekly performance in over three months
