Good day to you ole son, hope your well, started to settle in?
Sun is shinning here also and with a bit of heat for a change.
Still holding around 1.615 mark, can't see much change.0 -

Went to try and lease a new Murano the other night. They have a special of $299/month at the moment. The b'stards refused me as I have no credit history. So I can buy a $200k house, but can't lease a $25k car!
Back to the second hand market.
I see you have "41 days" till your holiday... not counting down then?
The rate is superb. 1.70 may be a little optimistic at this time, but we thought that about 1.60 about 2 weeks ago!!0 -

Hi
Just got back and bought some dollars back with me. I'm gutted. I had to buy mine at 1.48 and now they are at 1.56. Anyway I have $736 left. Would I be advised to hang on to them or sell them now. If so is anyone interested in taking them off my hands?

which still isn't as good as no1currency at $1.562
or a nationwide account at $1.59
or a fairfx card at $1.600 -

Not everyone has a No1 currency near them (or like mine open when I need to get to it) and the tesco rate seems good.
The problem is with nationwide account is that just because the rate is at 1.59 now it may not be when the person goes, so if it went back down to the 1.30s it would not be so great.0 -

No, you're right, but as Cade said, not everyone has a no1currency nearby, or wants to wait until they arrive in the US.
Most people need some cash on arrival, if only for tipping, and I think if they're only changing a relatively small amount most will get their currency from wherever is most convenient, providing they're reasonably competitive.
I have a quick look at the exchange rate they are giving every week in Tesco and get a few quids worth most weeks when the rate is good - in the past I have bought whenever it was over $1.80 - to stash away ready for the next holiday (A bird in the hand.... etc)
When we were in the US last month I felt quite pleased, knowing I had bought most of our $ at 1.90 - 2.00 last summer, while places like fairfx and Nationwide were only giving around 1.40 at the time.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
