• You are not that dumb - if the judge in any criminal or civil case could act against you on behalf of the prosecution or plaintiff when they did not turn up, you would rightly say the system is corrupt and biased against defendant.
So are you saying the chairman has never once backed a defendant?

Cozza, some of my threads have suffered at the hands of similar hijacking. Don't let this get to you. Just know it's not you.

I have been told by a very experienced disability advisor for the DWP that 80% of appeals are successful with the new ESA system.

Good on you for fighting through this. Must have been tough on you, though.

Well done Coz - though some people on here will say it is ATOS that are correct ;)

People like NASA who wrote, "DWP and ATOS are beyond reproach IMO".

As I wrote before, "The so-called medical tests are also not fair or objective - which is why they pass sick people as fit for work all the time."

There is no conspiracy - it is purely the mind-set within the system - to reduce claimant numbers to reach targets:

Also, someone else pointed out (can't remember which thread) that the ATOS employee who you saw is responsible to the General Medical Council. Perhaps you should advise them of this particular Doctor's complete and utter incompetence in not realising the extent of your illness/disability. I mean, 21 points of a difference isn't just a typo on a submitted sheet.

    [Edit to add]:

More information on how to complain here:

    http://www.gmc-uk.org/concerns/making_a_complaint/faqs.asp

Perhaps falls under the category of:

*failure to examine a patient properly or to respond reasonably to a patient's needs

If enough people complained about their treatment by specific doctors at ATOS, then this would force the GMC's hand to ensure that ESA applicants are treated with the respect they deserve.

You can also get advice by telephoning their helpline on 0845 3570022 (or 0161 923 6402 from 'Say no to 0870') or you can e-mail your query to practise@gmc-uk.org (to get advice on how to set about complaining/the correct place to complain to).

No such thing as fair in real life. Some people have steadily been getting lazier and lazier falling back to a wonderful life on benefit. Now old Gordon aint so smart as tony and his labour saps are pushing ahead with token legislation to reduce the numbers but at the moment claimants bleat that there are no jobs (another fallacy) and so it is just pushing people off to JSA. But it looks like labour is doing something. Truth is they dont know what to do because they havent the guts to say there is not enough money to go round.
Plenty of people will pass an appeal because there isnt any point in refusing them with the current situation.
Best thing to do is stop all benefits and see how many people come rushing out to find work. Then if someone hasnt come out of their front door after a month I reckon theres a chance they might be genuine.

this bit actually made me laugh im thinking accomapny it with a bit of benny hill and it would make great late night comedy

sadly not all those who are ill have agrophobia -

i dont agree with removal of benefits or the underhand way they try to force those who need it off benefits into work just to get figures on their targets as this doesnt in fact get rid of those who claim falsely as the saints or scroungers program shows these people are so clever they wil just find new ways to claim where as those who are genuinely ill unless they have support of friends relatives sites like this or access to citizens advice (or knowledge of the service they offer) may not be aware they can get help or appeal and instead will still be ill but now ill and penniless and they will still have to buy food, electric, water etc etc

I agree. I think they should make you pay for a docs vist like in paddyland. Plus when they catch the benefit dossers they should give them hard labour.

Unfortunate from my experience the true "scroungers" would be the ones who stayed indoors and go even further to look ill, with those who were suffering genuinely probably making themselves ill by forcing themselves into work. Before prompt being laid off due to health reasons from any employer.

My ex was a genuine dosser and gambler among other things. Hence the reason he's my ex!
