I agree. I think they should make you pay for a docs vist like in paddyland. Plus when they catch the benefit dossers they should give them hard labour.

You are just trying to wind people up now.

You only pay to see the doctor back home in Ireland, when you earn/or your assets are over a certain amount.

ps and you have to weigh that up against nobody in ÉIRE Pays commuitycharges/rates or has to pay for water...So people are £500 per month better off than in the UK before you start.

And could you refrain from the Paddyland comments...Thank you.

I think there is nothing wrong with people working in their community to earn their benefits. So if someone on the sick was found to be on the fiddle I would sent them out for 40hrs litter picking or gardening for grannies and if they did that they would get their benefit. This should already apply to the unemployed.

well Ireland has a surplus of water and many houses in the country, still have wells or rainwater tanks on the roof
i dont really think many people here pay £500 for their council tax and water. Plus Ireland has been raising taxes plus cutting wages quite drastically.
people are happy to pay for things that make them ill but not for the treatment:confused:

The state pension in this country is a disgrace.

Trouble is the only people who get value for money is those who contrbute the least.
Labour made such a lash up of the welfare state in 1948 that it has never been properly thought out since.
pensions are rubbish because NI doesnt fund them and is nothing more than an alternate income tax. this falls in recessions at the same time benefits increase. not good really. only the left could think it up.:rotfl:

  • Well done Coz - though some people on here will say it is ATOS that are correct ;)

People like NASA who wrote, "DWP and ATOS are beyond reproach IMO".

As I wrote before, "The so-called medical tests are also not fair or objective - which is why they pass sick people as fit for work all the time."

There is no conspiracy - it is purely the mind-set within the system - to reduce claimant numbers to reach targets:
