Tribunal about my ESA

hi i just wanted to let you know about my esa tribunal, or should i say "hell"! What a joke esa is, most ppl dont fit in the "box"! Anyway, waited over eight months for tribunal, which was today & i won! Went from 6 points to 15! It wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, they werent interested in what my gp or surgeon had writen, just if i fit in the "box" lucky for me i fit! Just so annoying and stressful having to go thru this process to get money that im entitled to! The dwp stop the esa payments immediately when they say u are not entitled but when u win the tribunal they say it takes up to 4 weeks to get your backdated money back! Charming! Anyway just wanted to write this to give some ppl encouragement, dont give up, if you believe you are entitled then fight to the bitter end!! good luck all of you and lets hope they do away with this pointless test where 99% of the ppl dont fit in the "box"! What a waste of tax payers money, taxis laid on for me at a cost of over £180, court costs etccc all for me to be told i am entitled to it!!! Good luck!

Congratulations, cross your fingers that they dont just call you back in for a new assessment in a few months, and the process starts all over again.. as it so often does.

HA HA HA, THANX FOR THE REPLY, I AM IN NO DOUBT THAT THEY WILL PULL ME IN FOR ANOTHER MEDICAL IN JANUARY! I WOULDNT MIND BUT IM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO EVEN WANTS TO BE ON BENEFIT, I WANT TO WORK! I KEEP TRYING TO GET A JOB BUT AS MOST PEOPLE FIND, IT ISNT EASY, AS IM ON ESA & DLA IT PROVES I HAVE PROBLEMS AND AM AT A DISADVANTAGE IN GETTING A JOB AS I CANT WORK ON MY FEET ALL DAY. TROUBLE IS NO ONE IN THE BENEFIT SYSTEM SEEM TO CARE, ANYONE WOULD THINK IT WAS THEIR OWN MONEY THEY ARE PAYING US! I AM SO SICK OF THE WAY DECENT HONEST PEOPLE ARE TREATED IN THIS COUNTRY, ROLL ON THE DAY I AM BACK IN WORK AND THEY CAN SHOVE THEIR BENEFITS WHERE THE SUN DOESNT SHINE, FOR NOW IM STUCK & I THOUGHT THAT WHAT BENEFITS WERE FOR, TO HELP PEOPLE WHO NEED IT!!!! :mad:

I WENT FOR MY FIRST TRIBUNAL IN OCTOBER 2011, THE TAXI THEY PUT ON FOR ME TURNED UP 45 MINUTES LATE SO WE GOT TO COURT LATE & MISSED THE HEARING, LUCKILY FOR ME I GOT TO SEE THE JUDGE AND HE PUT IT DOWN AS AN ADJOURNEMENT. MY NEXT TRIBUNAL WAS ON THE 18TH NOVEMBER, THE DWP GAVE ME 6 POINTS BUT THE TRIBUNAL GAVE ME 15 POINTS! THE TAXI TURNED UP ON TIME! THE TRIBUNAL SENT ME A LETTER SAYING IT WENT IN MY FAVOUR ETC.. THEN THE DWP SAID THE COURT MADE AN ERROR AND IT HAD TO GO BACK TO THE JUDGE TO BE AMENDED, THE DWP ASKED THE COURT ON THE 24TH NOVEMBER FOR AN AMENDMENT, THE COURT COULDNT DO AN AMENDMENT BECAUSE THE DWP DIDNT SEND MY FILE BACK UNTIL 8/12/11 !! ITS JUST LIKE GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES. i THINK PEOPLE ON HERE SHOULD WRITE A LETTER TO THEIR LOCAL MP'S AND LET THEM KNOW HOW WE ARE BEING TREATED, I WAS WORKING FULL TIME B4 I HAD TO APPLY FOR ESA, I HAD TWO OPERATIONS AND THIS IS HOW I AM TREATED! SO STRESSFUL, LOST LOADS OF WEIGHT & COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE GOVT DONT WANT TO HELP GENUINE PEOPLE, WHO NEED HELP, WHO ARE BORN IN THIS COUNTRY!! GOD HELP ANYONE WHO HAS TO APPLY FOR ESA BECAUSE IT IS A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!
