I am [STRIKE]reviewing[/STRIKE] contemplating my life just now - and how pathetic and disorganised I am- despite repeated attempts to sort things - in some ways it is much better but lots of things still need to change.
I am thinking ir might be easier to become a buddhist monk than carry on the way I am
Oooh Toots - maybe we could source you a cave. One with a v. small opening (but big enough for you to get in through( to shield you from the wind but with a big vaulted ceiling once you're inside. There could be an army of glow worms in residence to give you light when it got dark. And a small crack in the vaulted ceiling which was exactly positioned to allow the smoke from your fire to escape to the outside without choking you.
You could be our resident hermit!
Blimey- the IOW air and the visits to Freshwater where Tennyson lived must have got my imagination brain cells working overtime!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

toots - honey, you have every right to be disorganised at the moment and you are NOT pathetic. You've said that some things are better, so that is good. Focus on them and then decide to change other things one at a time. Babysteps!! xxx
I've watched Fracture which was pretty good and sorted loads of cross stitch stuff. Tomorrow I need to work out how best to fit it all back in the cupboard!
Will update list and then head for bed ..........."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Toots - you should be in bed hun! You have done so well. I've been flying for a few years now and there are still piles of stuff on the family room floor, masses of stuff in OH office to clear, a loft with many many box which have not been openned since we moved 8 and a half years ago and a garage which you can only step around the edge in.. you think we are all doing well but not everyone is. What is bothering you the most.

Well Toots the thing is not what you have to change in your life but WHY?
If you feel you need to change because you are being influenced/pressured by some external force may I suggest that would NOT be a good reason to change but it would also, ultimately, be unsatisfactory for you.
And thus it would be an unsuccesful change. Change should be for the better, not for the sake of change and from a personal view a change for the better would be pleasing, in some way, to you.
If you are making changes at the behest of someone else this is not good, nor is it healthy. For instance is someone were in a relationship and their partner was trying to change them those outside the relationship would perceive that forced change as unhealthy. By the same token someone on their own, such as you or I, must choose whether or not to make a change for their own reasons and NOT because of outside influences.
Toots you are in a position where you have to 'comply' with what you are able to do. Don't make unreasonable demands of yourself and accept that you are who you are...and you have become a very much loved person on here and a friend to so many and, dare I say it, an inspiration. We all have our 'little' crosses to bear. And then we look at those on this thread who are dealing with 'big' things, of whom you are one and that inspires many of us to dust ourselves off and get on with it.
Change things if you want to - and consider carefully whether, and why they need to be changed...and if you DO still want to make those changes remember the advice you give us all and move in babysteps.
And thank you for giving me the chance to make a decent (I hope) 4000th post
