Did this over the day but just got in from work.

Washing done and dried on the line.

Made a huge stirfry before work and picked up some whoopsie pastries and sandwiches from garage for OH's bait on the way home.

Off to a festival tomm with me pal - v excited as actually have two full days off work - longest time off since January!

My OH is away to his parents in France for a week so I am encouraging him to cook loads of lovely meals over the next week for the freezer, so I don't have to suffer the chore of cooking..any suggestions for batch-cookable meals welcome.

    Morning Princess!
(Hope he's going to eat HER danish/muffins while he's there!)

    Batch cooking....

    Chilli
    Bolognaise
    Shepherd/Cottage pies
Lasagne (for which you would use some bolognaise sauce)
Cheese and bacon stuffed jacket pots (cook jackets, halve, scoop, mash with cheese, stir in cooked bacon refill and freeze)

    Morning all

woken by sun streaming in so popped down to put a wash load in and shred (on the cheap rate) it is going to be a beautiful (and hot) day in valliland - can't be Bank Holiday!

These are plain pork, and we did pork and leek too (with HG leeks).

Off to sort the laundry, see you soon.

    Sorry!:o:o:o:o:o

But so many of us say life will be better when (for example) we have lost weight (hummmm - wonder why THAT example came to mind...) or something and forget that we don't know how long we've got - but it sure as hell is NOT long enough and we must live as best as we can RIGHT NOW being - as I hope I am - true to ourselves....and not trying to live the lives others would have us lead. So it might be that some of us have to live our lives without those people who would drag us down and force us to comply with their idea of how we should be.

    Experience speaking there...
Very true Valli - and your previous post. Thank you for them both.

My problem is no self-discipline. I know what I want to do but my inner lazy sod sabotages me every time. Pathetic or what?
But then I read what other people achieve with major things to cope with and feel even more embarrassed.
(And that's really the sort of confession one should only make in the middle of the night)

    Morning everyone

Pen-pen - love the sausages - it's so exciting when you make your first batch! I made my first batch last New Year's Eve!

Crafty - I can totally relate to the non-middle of the night confession!

It's already warm here. I think it's going to be scorching later. I plan to wash a lot!

    Morning everyone!

Welcome home soappie - glad you had a lovely time and BeffyBoo looks as cute as ever!

I didn't manage to get online again last night as I was distracted by my library book (Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult) and then by television.

Must do better on the flying front today. I've been awake since 5.55am! OH got up to go to the toilet, and both of us were wide awake so he got up and made tea and fed the cat. He's gone to Bisley today to collect a new rifle that he's bought and has taken his brother with him (I don't get on with his brother so I stayed at home). He should be back by lunchtime though, so won't have the house to myself for long, so will make the most of it.

Anyone awake yet and fancy a HHC 9.30-10? That'll give me a chance to get dressed.

    Morning Sexym

I'll join you with a HHC at 9.30. I've just had a bath and ought to get dressed. I also need to water the veggies in the garden before the sun gets on them - they're wilting a bit. And the kitchen is a bit of a disgrace as I've not washed up from last night!
