To the OP,
You come on the Moneysaving Expert website, and ask for a source for cheap tyres.
You get a few regulars who take the p*ss.
So you how to ask yourself really, if it's a money saving website, and they complain because you want to save money...........
But to answer the post, blackcircles are usually good, then use their price to get a price match from someone who has them in stock locally. If you do a print from the web, that's usually enough for most tyre fitters.0 -

Don't try and run a car you can't afford.:rotfl:Bowdyjan18 wrote: »lmfao :T :T :T :T :TChippy_Minton wrote: »Yeah CHEAP.:rotfl:
Car starts a 40K list price (without any extra's and who'd buy one without leather. Bet the OP has:p)
And he wants CHEAP tyres.Chippy_Minton wrote: »Why do all the chavs think they can run them on the cheap?:rotfl:Lol, owns a BMW x5 and want cheap tyres. More money than sense - or perhaps more loans than sense?harveybobbles wrote: »Probably a logbookloan.co.uk or Provident lmao!
I often find myself tittering in similar situations when i'm selling a car with something like a 3.0 engine and the customer asks "what sort of mpg will it do..."
Like it matters if it'll do 25 or 28...
To all of the above with chips on their shoulders.
The guy never said he wanted cheap tyres, he said he wanted tyres cheap. To put it in perspective, out of the local BMW dealers, tyres for my 535d are £350, first price i got for them outside of there was £245, with a bit of effort i got them for £180 each.
As that is what the o/p is doing also, ie, looking for tyres at a decent price i dont see how that is anything other than money saving, and this is money saving expert after all?
Maybe it helps you get through your day when an expensive car drives past you that 'really he cant afford it', but maybe they just have more money than you?
Maybe you should just live with it, instead of taking out your pettiness on here?0 -

my perception of the o.p
my tyres are expensive, i have to live with it, but i need one now, if i can get one at that price or less sharpish then all well and good
reality for a tyre that size, i have one out back in between the lamp with a genie in it and the magic beans.
i have a garage i go to for my tyres, phone him the day before, turn up with cash and its a good idea if your car runs on same tyres as a merc or bmw as all the local cars like that go to himthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
I trust BH even if he's from Manchester..
all your base are belong to us :eek:0 -
As above there is a world of difference between asking for cheaper tyres and cheap tyres.
I need decent 195/50/15s, I know that R888s are c£260 delivered and then I pay fitting on top, I still want them cheaper which doesn't mean I'm fitting ditchfinders.
However, some of the replies in this thread really should consider their replies.0 -
You're assuming an awful lot about the o/p and his financial circumstances?
Should we aspire to drive a car like yours?
they are bloomin rare nowadays, they were stolen to order for spares for export at one time werent they?things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
