A mate of mine has a 645i and had to wait a week until he had the money to change a tire so he could carry on driving it! :rotfl:

Why do all the chavs think they can run them on the cheap?:rotfl:

Lol, owns a BMW x5 and want cheap tyres. More money than sense - or perhaps more loans than sense?

The guy never said that... read the posts before making a post yourself.. if you read the posts in this thread he asks for tyres at a fair price.. and mentions that he had been quoted £241 'which was fine' so, he has the money... so lay off, this is the one thing that bugs me with MSE.. if someone wants advice and they have something deemed to be out of reach to alot of people the jealous crew turn out in force with daft and irrelevant jibes.

I am a newbie here. Got shot down in flames last night and now this.
Why do I bother. Thanks to everyone else for your help.
At least the person from last night was polite enough to rethink and say they had been a little tetchy. Some people do have manners.

The site is actually good and the advice is good on the whole.. but since it is an open forum, anything deemed not money saving or anything that generates a little jealousy gets shot down. Sad but true, so stick with the site and take with a pinch of salt the jibes and pick out the useful stuff.

    Welcome to MSE anyway!

Probably a logbookloan.co.uk or Provident lmao!

I often find myself tittering in similar situations when i'm selling a car with something like a 3.0 engine and the customer asks "what sort of mpg will it do..."

Like it matters if it'll do 25 or 28...

    Yeah CHEAP.:rotfl:

Car starts a 40K list price (without any extra's and who'd buy one without leather. Bet the OP has:p)

    And he wants CHEAP tyres.

Look Chippy mate. I just wanted to sort it out today.
If you read my post you will see that the quote I had was fair, but that I would have liked to have sorted this out today.
Money is not an issue here, but the car being out of action is. No finance issues at all, no bragging, just wanted a tyre.
Yep, of course its got a leather interior, the girlies love it. :D
Thanks for the help and laughs too.
Bet you would have been kinder if I had asked about tyres for Reliant Robin, lol!
Thats my other car (not!) Cheers lads.:)

you normally find the sarcastic replies come from those posters who are more than a little jealous of those who have more than them.
    try
    http://www.etyres.co.uk/
    http://www.tyres-online.co.uk/
    http://www.mytyres.co.uk/
    http://www.ctyres.co.uk/

i found the above in a quick search. I should point out that I'm not recommending any of them since i've never used them but it'll maybe give you a fighting chance of getting a new tyre sooner rather than later.

You could also try all your local tyre places eg kwik fit, national etc. I wouldn't go near any of those places with my car (Z4) for anything other than a tyre but they might have something in stock.
