hello
forgive me if i have posted this on the wrong bord..
i feel like i am forever spending money on expensive air freshers, defusers and all things to make my house smell nice. has any one got any ideas to keep my house smelling nice without having to spend so much money??
thanks for reading:money::money::money:0 -
What's making it smell in the first place? I've never had air freshners! My spend on this type of item is £0/year.0

Not meaning to sound patronising, but try and have the windows open as often as you can, keep the air circulating, makes the place a bit fresher. I'm a big fan of plug in airfreshners, but only have them on every so often for a quick 'boost''' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0

Get some cheap 4ss pot pourri from a dodgy market stall - or make your own from citrus peel/drying petals.... and then sprinkle with essential oils.0

3/chuck my smelly wellies/trainers...
lol only joking
A lot of people on here use bicarb sprinkled on carpets when hoovering,it helps remove smells.
I must admit I succumb to buying the Febreeze spray when its on offer I'm afraid as I have a houseful of men and animals :rotfl:
There is a homemade airfreshner thread on here somewhere in the cleaning links up top I think??0 -

We're just being silly, we don't think your house smells!!
I sometimes use Shake n Vac, it's a bit old fashioned, but I love it.'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0 -
Grow and dry your own lavender.
Get some essential oils and make your own room sprays. Slightly costlier to start with, but last a heck of a sight longer.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
