No its my poor use of the english lingo. Knew I should have paid more attention in school. That was £120 for Nov, so over a month, not a week!

Change the post. Sorry. No way I could save £100 a month!

    Hi All

well our piggy (sorry no names in this house - doll is dolly, teddy is teddy -can you tell I'm an accountant!!! ), is getting fatter.

I am now over 11% towards my new kitchen target (but I have added in Quidco savings for the last few months).

DH on the other had, who was always very sarcastic about piggy - turned round the other day- put 10p in , when I asked why said 'because I have justed saved money by turning lights off '.

We did use this many months ago - 10p for a reuseable nappy, etc - to incentivise us to do jobs such as hanging out the washing, and not using the tumble drier, but the money never seemed to get to piggy.

How do the rest of you decide what goes in piggy??

    Hels

I put in ALL the small change from my purse, in fact the only thing I keep in each day is £5.10p which covers the childrens dinner money. I put in all the change I find lurking around on the floor, in the bottom of my bag, poskets, streets etc and I have saved around £60 in 4 weeks which isn't bad going I guess.

I just need to make time to get it in to the bank account and find the mortgage details so I can pay it over to them.. though I am as yet unsure whether to pay it off the mortgage or off another more pressing bill. I can pay more off the mortgage when I have fewer things to pay out on the whole.

My quidco and ebay money goes into the new account too so that too is used for something useful and I can keep a better track of what is being paid out and to whom.. in theory this is.. my account was opened last Thursday and hasn't got a penny in it so far lol.

My oldest 2 children and my husband have been caught putting money in.. but I don't care who puts it in so long as noone takes it out I am a happy bunny!

I pay in any ebay money, any paid 2 clicks money, and also any earnings from mystery shopping. If i manage to save anything on bills or shopping, i try and put that in too. I dont save any money, as my mortgage allows me unlimited overpayments, that i can borrow back within 48 hours if i need to, so by overpaying im saving not only interest on my mortgage, but i can use it as savings if i ever need to.

My little piggy is well fed still.. though he is going to be getting his stomach pumped in order to fill my new account very soon. I don't make a mortgage payment until the 30th so no hurry really, plus our interest is calculated annually so as long as it is paid in by July it won't make any difference.

I have just received my new 0% interest C/card though *grin* which should pay off some people quicker!
