I love this thread - so inspiring!

My pig came from a charity shop and has a poorly nose. He is called Portly.

I only stick £2 coins in him but manage to pay a bit extra off the mortgage every month or so with his contents - anyone notice how rare £2 coins are when you start collecting them???

I have also increased my DD so making a monthly overpayment straight after salary paid in and before it can get spent!

If anyone is interested, M&S currently have piggy banks with sweets! (I think). Yummy.

I gave in and counted my piggy pennies today as the pig (sharps bin) is full!!

I have just over £17 in just over a week so I am pretty pleased with that.. every penny helps as they say!.. hopefuly I can shave a few hundred pounds off before we come out of our fixed rate period into high interest rates.. that should help with our payments!!

We lost our last home last time the interest rates rocketed so I am watching them carefully this time.. especially as this time they are coupled with high fuel prices.. I coudn't go through that again.
