  • I have just had a look on e-bay. A large pig will cost about £15 including postage. So I am going to make a paper machaie one with the help of a ballon. I have loads of glue news paper and paint so all I need is an egg box.50p with 6 free eggs :D and a ballon I recon will be about 99p a bag.

I can let the children play with the ones I don't use. I could even get them to make a pig to earn their keep. :T

So that's £13.50 for my pig all ready.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • £15 - we want papier mache pig!!!!!!!!!
  • Well my pig cost me just 75p in the end. I asked in the shop if I could have an egg box. Result they said yes. It even looks like a pig. As soon as it is dry I can paint it.

I haven't done paper machie since I was at school.

  • I will post a picture once she is all finnished. She needs another layer of paper yet and then a paint job. My husband has named her Peppa pig after childrens show.

He was really pleased with the idea and gave her his money that he was going to spend on wine. Not only will Peppa get fat we will get thin.

    Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted on here very much, Morty is getting fatter by the day! I am resisting the temptation to count what's inside him though.

I am already overpaying by the maximum that I am allowed, which isn't much! I have a homestart mortgage from HSBC which is interest only for the first 3 years, I have fixed for 2 years so can only overpay by 20% of the monthly interest per month (which is just over £100). The fixed rate runs out next July and I am planning on overpaying as much as possible then.
I have noticed some difference though, I recently got my annual statement and I think I have saved about £20 already in interest and it has only been 6 months....
    Saving for an early retirement!
  • I've just bought a money box in the shape of a ladybird off ebay, yaye! It's took me a few weeks to find one that I like so I hope it comes soon.
    I :heart2: saving money
