The pigsback one is clear so I preferred to see the cash mounting up!

There are sometimes little pictures on your pigsback homepage that are edged in purple and usually say 10 points. If you click on them the 10 points gets credited to your account immediately. Also there are competitions and other extra point clicks from time to time.
I registered with pigsback ages ago when the little freebie squeezy stress pigs were on offer but I hadn't bothered with the site since. I've started visiting the site over the last week or so and got £4.70 just through clicking.
There's a pigsback thread here which will help.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I'm o up to 680 points and waiting for another 1000 for bingo - the 680 points didn't cost me a bean and I made £10 on the bingo.
I'm constantly looking for the clickthroughs and I enter all the comps where you couls win points!0 -

I too bought myself pig today from IKEA. The children have named him Arnold as he looks like Kipper the dog's friend.
Everyone has been instructed to keep Arnold well fed and the children have been hunting all over the house to find every penny they can to put in him.
Initially, the money in Arnold will be used to pay off the credit cards as they are a higher rate of interest than the mortgage, but as soon as they are paid off, the money I am using to pay off the cards will go into the mortgage.
Thank you for such a brilliant idea

What a brilliant idea, am totally inspired by this thread, and about to give it a go.
Just realized that I hadn't bought my newspaper all week, because I wasn't at work, so that's £2 already, which I've stuck aside for the moment. Not saying I won't buy a newspaper all next week, but will not buy daily any more, try to wean myself off a bit - it's the puzzles, I'm hooked on them!
I have quite a large pig, which is just called "The Pig", which I received as a birthday present from a dear brother (who was obviously trying to tell me something), along with a packet of pork scratchings and a second hand paperback book - The Three Little Pigs. The latter two are long gone, but "The Pig" is still here, and just celebrated his 28th birthday.
We used him to save up all our 1p, 2p & 5p's, emptied him whenever full or once a year at holiday time - spending money for our daughter on hols, and she always seemed to do quite well out of that, about £40-£60. Saved us having to fork out for the ice-cream/lollies, toys that every kid "needs" on holiday. Also taught her at the time, to budget out her money to last the week/fortnight whatever. (Different story nowadays when she is 19! Actually should get her a pig too now!)
Anyway, this fund no longer needed, as she doesn't come with us anymore on holiday, but still being putting the coppers in. In fact "The Pig" is quite heavy at the moment, so will empty him sometime this week and bag and bank the proceeds into the savings fund, then can start anew with my £2 and whatever change or savings I have come up with. Then, when the Old Torag is back from sea in another week or so, can discuss with him our main objectives, get a signpost made and then away we go!
Not sure if we should continue to call him "The Pig" or give him a name. Any suggestions one way or the other? Would show you a piccy but don't know how to do that! He is definitely a he though, there is no debate on that one!0 -
I've been loving this thread that's for posting it aliasojo! It's such a simple and fun idea and it keeps you thinking in the right direction, saving money!!!
So in the interests of speculating to accumulate (but shh don't tell the DFW board!) I've 'invested' in a little piggybank of my own on ebay. She (and she is a she by the way!) looks to be a fair size so plenty of room for those pennies! And she's very pretty which will encourage me to 'spend' lots of time with her and feed her lots of money! Though I haven't got a mortgage she can help me pay off my debts, and save up the spending money so the real money can be re-directed to a better cause!
I present, maisie the moo cow, can't wait for her to get here!!!1st LBM (Pre-Career Change): 01 March 2006 Debt Free Date: 28 April 2008 | Worst Debt: £7244.36
