After reading the thread I went and did loads of clicks on pigsback to get a piggybank but then i had a brain wave and had to sit down for 5 mins to recover. I asked my mum to bring my piggy bank i had when i was little i bought from the butchers, i can still picture them strung up above the counter, i saved for ages to buy my pig. Anyway he was still sitting on the side in the spare room at my parents house as i never thought to take him with me when i left home. I saw mum on Mothers Day and sat with him in my lap the whole way home (BF was driving) and then realised what an emotional attachement I still have to him. I promptly fed him when we got home with all the change i had found about the house the day before whilst cleaning (doesnt happen very often) and then this am i emptied the wahing machine to find £1 coin, straight to pig it went. Now all i have to do i come up with a message to put above him!0

I collected my pig from the post office this morning, he had been bought on ebay and is absolutely adorable, he's got a lovely little face. If someone can tell me how to do it I'll post a picture or put him in my avatar.
He won't be my mortgage pig as I don't have one, but he'll keep my change to go towards our debts. I fed him this morning as soon as i got him with money that i could have spent on a coffee at work, I need to make a sign for him.
Although he is a BA pig and people have suggested some names now that i have met him i think he deserves an old-fashioned solid name, like archie or reggie. I'll have to have a think about it until I come across something that suits him. hmmmDebt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
Current debt: £14,000.00
Debt free date: June 20080 -
Bartrum, Barry, Bart, Barney? (all BA of course!!)0

Here piggy piggy!0 -
Im overpaying my mortgage by £400 per month. This will half my remaining term from 12 to 6 years. All I can think is that you must have had a lot of take-aways prior to getting the pig to pay yours off the way that you did!!!0

If Herman feels heavy then I'll count up and pay in, if not then I'll leave him a bit longer.
I'll have to get a money cow aliasojo.
Not sure if anyone else is as superstitious as me, but some people won't have ornamental p*gs, say the word p*g in the house, or in my extreme case ... can't even type it at the mo
It's not just me is it?0 -

This is a great idea.
DD counted my royle family swear box contents, and an empty syrup jar, and we had £10 in coppers in there!
Don't you get penalised for making overpayments?
Need a proper pig, the kids have them but their names are on the sides.
Lot of my friends won't say p*g for religious reasons;)
sure I have seen some nice moneyboxes in poundland...Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!
