Beenie - great news!! I hope my scan comes as quickly!! I'm about a week behind you & have my 1st MW appt tomorrow. I'm actually not fussed about getting nuchal fold scan, but will tell her I'm really keen so can be assured to get scan before 14 wks, lol.

Also, I'm hoping I can escape the glucose test - my pre-preg weight was just shy of the threshold, but now I'm probably slightly over it...remind self to have a tiny breakfast tomorrow so weight will be good, lol!

bumble - I was watching a program on TV last night. A woman had had 1 child and then tons of miscarriages afterwards and couldn't figure out why. Turns out she had a blood clotting disorder and was just really lucky with the 1st pregnancy...she did finally get pregnant and carry baby to term but had to have special injections once a week to do so! Hope it's not that, but just to say there CAN be treatable reasons for your MCs.

Congrats Bennie - hope you get a lovely scan pic you can cherish..

Know I've mentioned it before but has anyone else had step B test, and when can you get test (I know a £30 fee applies). I'm having it drummed into me by a friend who's friend gave birth didnt know she carried it and passed to baby who know has celebral palsy, so I'm really paranoid about it now.

Morning Nanc, I had it at 32wks as I was carrying it last time. Never had it before and I actually wish hadn't known last pregnancy. I'm clear this time though. Sami got the kit for free thenn had the MW do it and only paid when she sent it off. Mine was free. If your worried it's only £30 for piece of mind which isn't a lot. X.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Thanks all, i'm sure it'll be fine, but i've just got this huge feeling that something won't be right. I think it's because i've been thinking about the first scan for about 8 weeks and now it's finally happening i think it'll go wrong.

Hoping i don't get told off for having a flabby belly. i've read on some of the threads here that some can be ogres :(

Searching - If i'm right its bacteria you carry in your lady bits you dont know about, and if passed onto baby during birth below more info:-

    What is Group B Streptococcus?
Group B Streptococcus (GBS) is a common bacterium carried by 30 per cent of adults in their intestines, and 25 per cent of women vaginally. Most people are unaware that they carry it because it causes no symptoms and can be difficult to detect. Carrying GBS is perfectly normal. No antibiotics tested so far can reliable eradicate GBS.

    When does GBS infection occur?
Babies are usually exposed to GBS shortly before, during or after birth. This happens to thousands of babies without causing them any harm. Why some babies develop an infection as a result of exposure is not yet clear.

I've got the fear something is going to go wrong, because I never wanted children, something like this would be payback.. so I'm going to have test, hate for something to happen and think, if only.. x
