Morning, wasn't on yesterday and haven't got time to read back as too many pages. I've caught up with Elles posts though but any news I've missed?
How are you Mrs M. X
About Xmas, after struggling a bit 3 years ago we now both have standing orders that go into a savings account all year round, although I already have a few bits it's great come October as I have a nice pot to spend.Too many children, too little time!!! 0 0

If you've had it though elle gee and are breastfeeding Rhys, as I know you are, you'll have passed on your antibodies to him. I know its not great for your OH if he hasn't had it, but not as bad as it could be.
I was told this with DD3 but unfortunatly she got it at 12wks even though I was breastfeedind her! Too many children, too little time!!! Too many children, too little time!!! 0 0

I think the immunity only lasts for the first 6 weeks or so though? Krystal will probably know. I'm sure though I've read somewhere that its fairly short term to get baby through the first few vulnerable weeks only 0 0

            Morning ladies.
I've been thinking about getting this
 http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-capria-bouncing-cradle-barnaby-button/449363401/type-i/
Does anyone have any experience of it, good or bad? Not sure if it doesn't look a little unstable with such flimsy legs but none of the others seem to be any different.
 Any suggestions?

 Harley,
I bought one of the Capria bouncing chairs from M&P (although not the Barnaby Button one, but same design). We haven't used it yet, but I think it's fine. When I was a child, they weren't as sturdy looking as they are now, but they were fine. For the short time babies use them, I didn't think it was worth buying a particularly expensive one. Also the noises and vibrations on it are very good for the money!0

Thanks Fitzio. Apparently I turned mine over when I was little but as you say, they didn't used to be as sturdy as they seem to be now. I'm just trying to find something to boost my order up to the £60. Spoiled for choice between bunny, bear or elephant. I've already got her a tiny elephant but these are 44cm so something that will last hopefully. And something from mummy before she was even born.
I still have the bear my dad bought when I was born so I'm hoping she will want something similar as a keepsake.

We went back and forth between the rockers and bouncy chairs with DS2 and finally opted for the rocker, as it could be put flat for sleeping, which made it handy for downstairs naps.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Any chance of a link to a rocker Triggles? I've looked at so many I'm confused between the static ones, cradles, swings, rockers and god knows what else. Think she likes the M&P one though, everytime I look at it she gives a little kick.
Still not able to hear the heartbeat with the monitor my friend has leant me but looking at the reviews on it it sounds pretty poor. One poor woman got to 38 weeks and still couldn't hear anything. Glad I didn't pay £30 for it

harley - we have one similar to this : http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Toys/Bouncers-and-Rockers/Safari-Friends-Rocker-Chair(0031475)
You can get them at a number of places (toysrus, mothercare, boots, and other shops), and I don't remember for certain where we got ours. But we've been quite pleased with it.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

            Hi all..
Consultant's opinion on Rhys this morning is that he's making improvements with his movements and breathing but still nowhere near out of the woods yet. He is now being badly sick after every time he's fed or moved so he's on medication for reflux now and having a supplement in his milk to help him keep it down He's had yet another chest xray this morning because they think he's getting milk in his lungs with the reflux. They are hoping to wean him off the ventilator soon and they've taken his catheter out which was measuring his urine output (although not too well as it was leaking). He's had yet another chest xray this morning because they think he's getting milk in his lungs with the reflux. They are hoping to wean him off the ventilator soon and they've taken his catheter out which was measuring his urine output (although not too well as it was leaking).
We have a new nurse on today - so far she seems lovely and very attentive to sorting Rhys out whenever he's sick and making him comfy. She also came up with the idea of spreading some nasty medication over a few feeds so that he didn't sick it all straight back out - more forward-thinking than some of the nurses we've had!
Tia, he wriggles every time we touch him now. Not sure if he's liking it or if he's doing it in distress, but he's not pulling faces or struggling like he does when he's sick, so they're noting it as responses rather than distress at the minute.
Dad's coming to get me soon so we can go to B&Q to look for tiles...0
