Morning all! I'm up way too early for a Sunday, but I have to work which sucks.

Helen- glad you're having a fab time and doing lots of shopping. How cool to get loads of American baby clothes!

Elle- hope Rhys had a good night. Good luck picking your tiles. We went to B&Q yesterday and got some tester pots for the nursery. Thought it would be heaving but it wasn't actually- everyone must have been out in the sunshine.

Looks like being gorgeous again today but I wish it would cool down a bit at night. I felt like I must have woken up 100 times last night as it was so sticky. Just got the fan out for OH as he's just got in from nights and it's gonna be so hot for him to sleep today.

Hope everyone has a lovely sunday. Skinty- hope your husband's Baptism goes well today.

Helen - ooooh I envy you the shopping! I loved the Carter's baby clothing in the states when I was there. Really good quality and such cute stuff! Have fun!

GISI - DH works nights and he has trouble sleeping during the day in the summer because of the heat as well.

    Morning ladies.

I've been thinking about getting this
    http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-capria-bouncing-cradle-barnaby-button/449363401/type-i/

Does anyone have any experience of it, good or bad? Not sure if it doesn't look a little unstable with such flimsy legs but none of the others seem to be any different.

    Any suggestions?

I got dragged away to watch a DVD with DH last night. And I've woken up with a sore neck and shoulder.

Elle, glad Rhys is doing better, hope it continues! Does he like being touched? DS2 hated it and the nurses had to settle him by cupping his head with one hand and his bum in the other, as if he was still in the womb being a bit squashed. Then when he was well enough it was swaddling. He was swaddled until he was old enough to wriggle out of it.

DS1 is driving me nuts, he is now clearing his throat a few times a MINUTE!!!:mad::mad: (I love my son, I love my son, I love my son) no reason for it at all.

I got that one from ebay cheap. I love it, and the legs look flimsy but are definitely not. They clip together nice and secure and looks a nice sturdy chair. And remember mine has been used and is still looking good.

    Thanks Tia.

I will order it today I think. Am trying to get myself organised whilst there are discounts around as there is so much I need to get. Think mum is going to give me her clubcard vouchers to double up which will really help. I'll see if she mentions it again later. They are coming to dinner and to help me out with checking the furniture that arrived this week and to do a few jobs in the garden.

My neighbours garden is slowly taking over mine and I've had enough of it. I have been asking, less and less subtly, for the last 3 years for him to sort is as his trees have broken my fence, his weeds have swamped my rockery and the wasps nest in his lawn means I can't enjoy my garden and have to keep the windows shut around the back. Dad is going to do as much as he legally can to try to make it look a bit nicer out there.

What I wouldn't give to live a 100yd from anyone else!!!

    xx

Harley I bought one from Argos yesterday half price but its a different colour. Legs are a lot thicker, it has lying down and sitting up positions, rocks and you can make it stay still. I think its really nice

    Morning all,

looks like its going to be another day of great weather today :) Hubby is away on a driving lesson, so might see about going out for a drive and walk when he gets back. Bubs and I have had our toasted soda bread for breakfast and are now thinking about a cup of tea.

jennynoo - I was posting cross stitch links a couple of weeks ago so I'm sorry if it's my fault you got distracted from the site :p

Been looking at the baby scan dvd again (I love it!) and we think we see the 'moment' that the nice scanning lady believes shows us our girl. I can't remember if it was here that I saw this mentioned but *possible tmi alert!* did someone say that girls 'bits' can be rather swollen in the womb? The scanning lady said there was a chance that it could be little boys bits squashed together but her instincts are its a girl: as soon as she put the scanner on me she said it looked like a little girl by her head :D I guess we'll find out in 4 weeks for sure, but I would think that we could be pretty safe in going by her instincts, right? She must have seen hundreds of scans.

I have that one too. I bought mine from Additions direct using one of the £30 off £60 spend vouchers that are always around.

It seems sturdy enough to me. It rocks nicely and vibrates too. Not too sure about the music, jungle sounds and sounds of the sea as they would probably drive me barmy, but baby might like them.
