Good luck with the exam tmorrow Tia

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, really choked me up, they mean alot.

Im really glad im here now, took a heavy bleed at 6 this morning but it stopped at 7 and I managed to avoid the delivery suite. Probably because I didnt have to get up and grab my stuff and get an ambulance. So im feeling really happy to be in the best place.

Im expecting a few visitors today, so should be busy :T

A big Hi to Carla, didn't realise there was another Belfast girl here and your due a week after me ( though I dont think my due date counts anymore :o).

Loads of labour vibes Candice, I went naturally 2 days after my sweep with my last baby, so dont gve up on it.

    Morning everyone else

Skinty - do you actually mean straight away?? that puts the fear of god in me! I was a complete exhusted mess for about 3 months after Chris was born and the idea of also having MS while doing that _pale_ I think i would just collapse and turn to jelly!

I didn;t get any morning sickness with either of my pregnancies though so I'm guessing I might not next time? I also thought that a year's gap would be nice?

Brings back happy memories. DS1 was 4 months when we realised I was pregnant with DD, and in the first 3 months I recall just lying flat out on the bathroom floor, because I knew I was going to be sick again in the nearish future, and was too knackered to crawl into another room for a proper rest!

The only saving grace when they are so close together is that when they are really little they sleep for far longer than they do as toddlers, so you can often get away with a nap, or a long break to throw up, as worst case scenario they are safe in the cot, which would be harder if you thought your 2 year old might be falling down the stairs while you were incapacitated

How have you found it as they've grown up? Would you recommend the gap? Or would you say wait a bit longer?

evening ladies - calling on your experiences (not medical advice!). Had 12 week scan this morning which was lovely - saw and heard heartbeat and baby moving around loads. Went to tell "in-laws" and smiles all round. Did a bit of pottering with lovely DP to make most of day off work. Sat down about 5pm and got call from midwife as am high risk for downs (bloods not back for combined screening at time of scan but came in at 20 past 4) - scan good, age etc results good but overall risk put at 1 in 63 as blood results had downs risk at 1 in 11. I am actually surprisingly OK but DP in bits. We will be calling midwife in the morning to say we want to see a specialist - she did say we could have CVS on Thursday but also we could just talk to specialist.
I know none of you can decide for me, I emphatically do not want to enter an ethical debate but I feel I really need to hear any of your experiences. If you can.

Always - we were low risk but I had already told Oh that although he wanted the nuchal and bloods done, if that came back high risk then I would not have the CVS and nor would I abort. He also wouldn;t have aborted, he just wanted a heads up. We decided that life was precious whatever and we'd take what we got, but that is v ery eay to say when you come back with a risk of 1:2400, I know. Big hugs.

Been trying to call my dad about the pram but they are at thier flat with no landline and not answering the mobile! Not sure what to do now - maybe just phone Kiddisave?

A friend dropped over today with a bag for me - two maternity tops and a baby monitor to borrow! I don;t really think we will need a monitor but it's nice to have a free one to use if we decide we do.

Hi skinty, just when you say about the monitor, I didnt really use one with DD, but if she was sleeping and I went for a shower or bath, I used it then as its hard to hear them with the water running !!
