Permission to slaughter OH when I get home please?!!:mad::mad::mad:
So we have gone from 'Saturday night will be casual' to 'It's black tie an Cocktail dresses'
Have just spoken to woman who organises it and she said it's mainly aimed at the men not to wear jeans but I'll have to see if I still fit into my nice evening dress if not. I'll be online this afternoon looking for something with next day delivery!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Does Eve Violet Telfer sound good as a name? Violet was my Nana's name and I always planned on giving it to my daughter as a middle name. Although I think it may need another one before Violet to link them together?
I think Eve Violet sounds lovely! But I love Violet anyway(not that i'm biased!)
I've still not heard of any other Violets, apart from a couple of celebs who's Violets are older than mine.
And, when people have asked her name, we always get lovely comments. Violet - like a beautiful little flower, is a common comment!:beer:0 -

Still lurking in here, although I'm not posting much ....
Not quite the oldest (I too saw the post from someone saying there were 41), but I am 40 years old and going to be a first-time Mum in November! If s/he arrives on time, my OH will still be 39 (just):heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I meant to say - I like Eve Violet doubly because you can turn it into Evie (E.V.) as well so it's an extra nickname!
I'm on hold to Kiddisave right now being scammed over my travel system  They are claiming the car seat will be a different fabric but there's no mention of a change in fabric on the Silver Cross website.
Ooh, they have now confirmed the new fabric doesn;t have the embroidery, but I can have an old style pram and new style car seat, AND they will refund the £40 so it's the same price as on the website, but I now have to get hold of my dad as he bought the system and they need his card details to refund the £40!
They are also closed tomorrow so looks like I won;t get it till next week as can;t get hold of dad!

I like it too, Tia, but if you were planning to use both names together a lot maybe consider Eva or Evie to put more of a gap between the V in Eve and the V in Violet?
They're both lovely names. I wish I could name my daughter after her grandmother (she passed away last month) - but she hated her name and had no middle name so I think it would be wrong!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Definitely taking you up on the offer of the fat free choc muffins, Candice :rotfl:
Thanks again to everyone for all the Birthday wishes.
When I cook with onions, my fingers smell really bad for days and no amount of washing seems to get rid of it.
Nicki glad to hear an 18M - 2 year gap is better, as DS is now 17 months and can be a real handful, when I planned this pregnancy I thought I knew what I was doing
Positive thoughts going your way Always, whichever decision you go with.
While I was home, I organised all the LO's stuff, my room is all ready now with moses basket and swing cot, im starting to get really excited now at the thought of the new baby. Sitting dreaming of pink frilly dresses and matching knickers and hair bobbles :rotfl:0 -

There are metal bars (aluminium?) that you can buy to rub your fingers on post-onion to help neutralise the smell, I've seen them in the Lakeland catalog .... but I couldn't be bothered with buying that, so I just rub a spoon between my fingers under the cold tap after cutting onion and garlic, that seems to work pretty well!
eta - just found it on Lakeland's site, they call it a "steel soap":heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
