Glad Leila is doing well - I hope I get on OK with the TT manual pump, I don't think I could spend £90 on something like that!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I'm in exactly the same position...
Leila is feeding happily from my right boob, and I think we're just starting to get there with the left one (after 9 days). I can only feed in the rugby ball position at the moment (with lots of pillows!) - but it seems that as she gets stronger and more feisty the better she's persisting and doing better with the other boob.
I had an Asda Tommee Tippee Manual Breast Pump but on the first day back from the hospital I sent OH to Boots to buy a Medela Swing. Best thing I've spent £90 on in a long time. It's kept my milk supply up fantastically in the neglected boob and also given me a couple of breaks in the afternoon when OH can take over.
The manual pump just completely frustrated me in it's flakiness (kept losing the vacuum) and made my nipple sore.
I have had a little soreness, but have kept up religiously with the lansinoh cream and just kept relatching her if it was hurting for longer than literally a couple of seconds. I can't say the soreness has really been a problem at all past day 6.
Huge labour vibes to Krystal and Candice - hope you both go tonight!
That makes me feel a little betterit's all well and good hearing the MW etc telling me that it's normal and it will get better etc etc but hearing it from someone a few days ahead of me makes it a lot easier to believe that we CAN do this
I have some nipple cream upstairs but not sure what make... I've just been using vaseline to be honest and it does seem to be making a difference so will see how we go and if it doesn't improve I'll try lansinoh
And I know £90 seems a lot but it's seriously well spent money if you're needing to express... certainly if you're expressing colostrum - might be easier to use the manual ones when the milk is inFor now though I can heartily recommend the medela
I just love how compact it is!
And speaking of which... gonna go express some more I thinkthat way it's ready for later when I go to bed and DH can do the late feed
hehehe

I searched for coconut cream - you can use it in curries (instead of yoghurt) and there are some other dishes as well.
