Evaporated Milk

I spent all of Saturday baking lots of yummy treats for us (me, oh and daughter) One of the recipes called for Evaporated Milk but I bought a large can and still have 3/4 of it left!
It's not something that I know much about and have no idea how to use it. Any ideas?
I have quite a few store cupboard ingredients if you can think of anything to do with it?

Hi melt71,
Apart from drinking it from the can(yum yum),what about making a jelly fluff, just replace some of the liquid from a jelly with the evap.milk and whisk up until fluffy, leave to set, then enjoy.Debt at highest £102k

Whip up the evaporated milk until its doubled in size, melt a jelly in a little water and then whisk the jelly into the evap milk....... pour into a large bowl or inddividual dishes, mousse......
Use half milk and half water and nake rice pudding, or use to make custard with custard powder, I never make it any other way........

gypsy tart only requires 1/4pt evap. It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know0

Use it instead of ordinary milk in a rice pudding - yummy!"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0

I haven't got a clue what Gypsy Tart is (I'm not a very experienced cook although I'm getting a lot better)
As for rice pudding I haven't got the correct rice for this, only savory rice. But thanks anyway. I'll bear it in mind for next time. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
