Shocked myself today.
Wanted pork...healthy eating stuff 20% off. first 3 packs i picked up at the front of the shelf didn't have 20% off. I went rooting to the back of the shelf to get one with 20% off as I needed to get home and didn't hve time to wait at CS.
Saw squash overcharged on my way round too...left it as nothing to cook with it this week.
Checked reciept on way to the car and I'd been overcharged on the poxy apples. No time to go back.:mad:Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Know the feeling. Didn't notice it at the time, but yesterday was charged for 2 copies of The News of The World. Check-out Op had double scanned it.
Still I shouldn't really complain, I've have had my share of freebie R&R's from Tesco, so have put it down to poetic justice!0 -
Like several other's in this thread, I have also been banned from my local store for the serious offence of multiple R+Ring. By the way, I would encourage all those who have been banned to write to the store and ask them to explain in writing the "reason" why you have been banned?. I have written two letters now asking for an explanation, and both have gone unanswered. These managers know they have got no legal basis to stop you shopping there, hence you are unlikely to get a response, however if you are seen to be attempting to get a response to a simple question which they are not prepared to uphold, it's certainly something you could challenge them with next time they attempt to throw you out or threaten you with the police.
Does anybody know how legally you stand if they did call the police and accuse you of tresspassing, assuming this is what they would do if you ignored a ban and were caught out?. Wouldnt they have to give you some sort of formal notice in writing? Any legal people able to answer this one please?0 -
Sandy, they have every right to ban you from their store without giving a reason. After all, each and every Tesco is private property. They also have the right to use reasonable force to remove you from their property. They can call the police to remove you without giving a reason. Trespass is a civil offence, by the way. However, public order offences are not.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Also check out the fact that Tesco have been labeling products saying it has low amounts of Salt in it etc ( this is fab news for bloodpressure sufferers, like myself ) but & I say but they have been abusing us as the correct amount of Salt was far far greater than it said on the tin ! So this is a health issue too !
Calm down Shazzie, your blood pressure will cause your head to explode if you're not careful :rotfl: LOL0 -

And the fact that they will be able to "spy on your every move" is mad. They can only track the items within the store or maybe as you reach the car park. Certainly not when you are back home! And why should it matter - providing you are not stealing anything what difference should it make if they know what item you have picked up;)
As a Business Information Technology student, I have learnt a fair bit about RFID (do a lot more next year) and it sounds incredible - if you think Tesco are the ONLY shop looking into using it Shazzie_bompa, then you are very wrongThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
Actually its quite scary,i had never heard of RDIF until this thread.According to what ive just read, the tags are not switched off till you dispose of the packaging & thats a quote from a Tesco spokesman....
