sorry I meant getting banned from a supermarket for using their own rules for R&RUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -

At the end of the day imo it makes no difference if you know that a item you purchased is mispriced, the fact is Tesco are overcharging on the said item.If a MSER didnt buy it some unsuspecting cust(s) would.I certainly dont agree that R&Rs will lead to higher prices as some have mentioned in the "big picture",if for example Tesco raised the price of a 4 pack of beans to £x.xx Asda would have a field day proclaiming how much cheaper they are.I think Tesco sometimes create R&R problems for themselves with the wild fluctuation of some products,ie dvds/cds.For what its worth i think Tesco is crazy for having the R&R promise, but as long as it continues i for one will continue to take advantage. You only have to look at the Figleaves £20 voucher with no minimum spend thread(now closed) to see that if people see a bargain or loophole they will take advantage, human nature pure & simple.Every week we see the same arguments/discussion on how many items someone gets R&Red etc, each to the own imo. However if you go to the CS desk with 5 mobile phones its common sense to say you are gonna get your cards marked which could result in a ban,we can discuss all day the rights & wrongs of getting banned but at the end of the day Tesco can ban anyone they choose for whatever reason they choose.0

You certainly don't know me or my character, so why take out my case from thousands of posts ?
Tesco are unable to price their items, they are unable to do their job correctly & secondly I have been overcharged in the past by £20 in a single transaction & I was told there was nothing they could do, so reflecting that I have had a few & I mean a few r & rs that's it !
snip
My immediate response is what a complete load of drivel.
I have sympathy for your particular case and (having heard only one side of the story) IF it is all as you say it is then the store is most certainly unequivocly in the wrong. Looking past that, where the hell did all the rubbish about Isreal and RFID come from. If you have a grudge against Tesco then fair enough, but what you have posted regarding date codes, salt and the rest has absolutely sod all to do with mispricing.
You mention that you have been overcharged "many times & have never ever had an r & r" so why continue shopping in an establishment that allegedly continues this practise - and then you go on to highlight the profits that YOU are contributing to.
For the record, i agree, why would anyone want 2 microwaves? The debate has been flogged to death and is becoming boring. Greed is human nature, however it is prevelant in some more than others.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.

I have reported the above-mentioned post by Shazzie_bompa as it does not belong here, in my opinion.0 -

To be honest, I didn't need or want to know about this while reading this thread. That said I do care about how companies exploit people but I believe there are more appropriate forums to discuss this even if your grivance is only with Tesco. As for your post about staff wanting a raise... It doesn't happen, I guess if they follow a manager's policy then it will look good at promotion time but still I think that kind of talk is irrelivant in this topic.
It's too bad to hear about your time at Tesco but they can do what they like, after all their R & R policy is just that, a customer service policy... It's not like it's law. I think if you get banned, then you get banned... There is no point crying over spilt milk, obviously in your case you were mistreated and should seek compensation (even if they just appologise?) through whatever means neccesary (press is a good idea if your case really is as you stated it). But anyone else who gets banned for <opinion>abusing</opinion> this policy should go rant about it elsewhere (there is a consumer vent board).

I think you will find that Tesco are obliged by trading laws to honour the R&R policy,im sure someone can explain/quote the trading laws better than me.0
