Just wondering if anyone can point me to the bit on the website that says about r+r. I read it last week. Reason is that i have to call ho tom about the rude and arrogant manager dealing with my r+r yesterday. On a previous occassion i gave in and just accepted a refund but today i stood my ground. I am not a serial r+rer but just don't like being done or having people be rude to me. I won't go into details til i have spoken to ho but lets just say he could have been more friendly.:mad:0

Today I had an item scanned twice on my shopping only £1.48 when I went to CS I was given only the overcharge back. I queried this and was told it did not apply to cashier error - but surely they had still overcharged me. Can't complain this week though had 2 psp games from a different store earlier in the week. And I must work on looking needy - a customer gave me her receipt and asked would I like her points (92) right in front of CS who would not R&R the cashier error, so then I asked CS to add the points on which she did.0

I had a new excuse for an attempted R&R...prices on CD's were wrong because they were in the middle of re-organising tickets!
This was at Romford Gallows corner. I got my refund after a bit of a squabbble with mangement and a bit of a wait.
For all you bargain hunters out there, this store is FULL of misprices at the moment, CD's, books, DVD's and electrical, but be prepared for some BS from CS.
Happy hunting!0 -
If you work in Tesco, and you are responsible for SELs, please can I implore you to check that they are in the correct location.
I picked up 2 items I believed were on special offer today, yellow SEL stating the deal. Turns out the SEL was in the wrong place and it was a different product on special. This wasted my time, CSs time and I ended up buying more than I intended to...which is annoying as I'm moving house in a couple of weeks.
I know some on this thread will say I should have argued the toss and tell me the SEL was misleading and I should have stood my ground for my R+R, but I really do have better things to do with my time and it wasn't worth the hassle for the cash. So please, if you are responsible for this in Tesco, please check you put the labels in the correct place.
Thank you.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

1x lemmings PSP SEL £19.97 scanned £29.97 same manager went away and came back with SEL showing £29.97!!!!! They had clearly made a new label so as to avoid refund. DAMN THEM:mad:
Some stores will try this. Always go with them to the shelves and this can't happen. Incidentally, this is bordering on Fraud on the part of the store.0 -

My wife returned some clothes yesterday which didn't fit. There were 3 items, 1 @ £18, and 2 @ £10 each. She says she just handed the bag over to CS & left them to it - our kids were playing up a bit so she was a bit distracted. She handed over her credit card for the refund, entered her pin & left.
Later that night she was looking at the refund receipt and it was for £28 instead of £38.
I have told her that she has probably lost the money now and she should have checked the receipt at the time.
If she went back to the store and explained, would they just say 'hard lines'? (or some more polite phrase but with the same meaning.)
The store did not mark on the receipt which items had been returned which they usually do.
Thanks in advance.
Every transaction is saved on the system and I imagen they could recal it using the serial number on her receipt (the one at the bottom consisting of till number, date, time, operator number and a unique transaction ID). Because it was refunded to CC, they can check and recall it - at least they should but with all things like this, it may take a little time and it may be best to go in when the store isn't to busy and you don't have to go anywhere urgently.0 -

You will find that this is the norm in some stores ! Dont let them get to you , if they want to get their undies in a twist just let them get on with it and smile . As i have said before i just dont bother with HO any more either.0 -

The SELs are product specific, and remeber they can be moved by members of the public as they aren't constantly supervised! So if you want an offer, check the product (ie. it may apply to coke but not diet coke (rare but it's an eg)) and check the size and finally check the date (on changeover days, offers sometimes don't start to the following days).
With thing like this, if you have picked up the wrong product then you woun't be entitled to R&R but you can always get a refund.0 -

If only they were all like that!! Must be so nice to have a joke about it rather than being miserable and awkward about itThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0
