loopylass wrote:But i know if the SEL on a pack of meat say 4.68kg and pack says 6.5kg i can get a r&r
after i have bought the meat
Do i go to cs
Does it say on the receipt what price it is per kg
And do cs has to go and see SEL to check that it says its lower per kg
If that is the case do i go with them to make sure they dont remove the SEL
I sometimes accompany CS staff to the SEL, but only to point out where I picked the product up from, I don't believe they would ever try to remove the SEL and call you a liar.loopylass wrote:Do i say about their mis-price policy if they are only willing to give me the difference in price
I've never been offered a refund for the difference in price, but would not hesitate to remind them of their r+r policy if necessary.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

Does anyone know if this also applies to Tesco Express stores?
I pointed out bread labelled at 83p but was charged 88p, got difference refunded no problem but not whole price!

The R&Ring at Tesco is very good practice. Today picked up some items at Sainsburys at lunchtime (7 items in total). And spotted 2 misprices in the process. After a little discussion managed to get a 9p refund on some loose seedless grapes and £1.50 on Easter cup-cakes (wrong cakes stacked over a multi-buy that didn't apply). Had to use the "Price Marking Order 2004" to get an refund on the difference for the latter one.
So not R&Rs (being Sainsburys) but I now find that I ALWAYS check my receipts whatever I purchase, and am now getting pretty good at remembering a list of prices. It's quite an eye-opener how many stores mischarge you!

I'm new to all this R&R and SEL stuff, and I was wondering how people manage to spot these mispriced goods. What method do you use ?A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Hi, am thinking this is in the wrong thread, but here's my reply anyway:
None of our local Tesco have scanners in store. I normally ask the SA to price check for me as I'm putting the rest of my shopping through, then say I'll keep it only if it scans through at a higher price.
I do get funny looks from SAs when item is stickered at a lower price than scan, but I can live with thatsome people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Does anyone know why some stores have scanners and others dont ?0

A productive morning this morning...
1 x Nokia 6230i - £139.97 on shelf - £149.97 at desk
1 x Dyson DC07 - £179.97 on shelf - £249.97 at desk
R & R with no problems... best of luck guys
How can you check?Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -

Mainly newer stores that have them. Tesco don't seem too bothered at keeping stores up to date. Once a store has been built, or refitted it will generally stay in that state until its next refit. Only updates that are absolutely neccesary get done (i.e. new Deli scales and printers went in all stores because the old ones wouldn't be compatible with the new labels). Some of Tesco's older stores sport very old branding and fixtures.
So when scanners were introduced they weren't rolled out accross every store - just new builds and refits from that date. There are of course exceptions to this, Extras tend to get everything as they are seen as flagship.0
