If the price per kg/lb on the pack is higher than that detailed on the SEL, then that is an r & r. However, make sure that the item in your hand is the same as the label you are looking at as different pack sizes can have different price per KG
It is only meat which is weighed individually according to pack size that works this way.
items like 750g gammon steaks where all packs are the same weight may show a higher pack label than SEL, but the price at till has often been reduced in line with the pack price rather than SEL.
Clear as mud?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

No, if it is a set price (ie all have the same barcode/weight), then it is possible to change the price centrally. Where the problem occurs is with "catch-weight" product as it is not possible to ammend the price centrally. As highlighted by the recent meat promotion, each item has to be altered by hand.
It is also the reason that cheese crops up fairly often. Would also apply to some fruit and veg but these tend not to vary in price so much (plus being shorter life, sell through on the shelf more quickly so less potential for error).
Hope thats clear. Let me know if it needs clarification.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

I think I've got the best (or worst depending on your point of view) T's around. There is never any mistakes with the meat. I'm starting to lose hope of ever getting an R&R or maybe i'm just missing the obvious. Anybody ad any luck at Swindon T extra?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

Turn the meats over like they do clothes at Primark. Look for those meats which are priced higher on the packs per kilo than the SEL price is on the shelf. No luck there, then go to the fish packets, then the cheese....go everywhere till you find something just does not add up. Spend half an hour at the electrical counter (can be most rewarding) checking over prices with SELs. You'll soon get the hang of it and come across something....then the adrenallin will flow.
Oh, and don't tell us all where you shop cos that just plays into T's hands while he watches this site.0
