You wont get away with saying your a mystery shopper. I work in retail and as stated above the store knows what they are being judged on. I'm also a mystery shopper and the NO1 RULE is you cannot ever reveal to the store that you are a myster shopper and i'm sure the store would also be aware of this.

    IT WAS A JOKE!

thanks will check it out... also where abouts are they in the store, I must be a bit blind cos i haven't seen them there?

Self scan checkouts are only in Cross Point Extra (aka Walsgrave Extra) in Coventry, nowhere else.

Rugby, Leamington and Warwick all have self scan checkouts too, if you're desperate to play though!

JailhouseBabe- told you Cross point would start getting stroppy with you once they saw you more than once!;) Was it the girl with the blonde permed hair that was giving you the hassle? She always whispers about me to her collegues in there, whilst I stand looking like this:A

Calella- the next R+R you get at Cross Point probably won't be as straight forward, once your card is marked in there they think nothing of expecting you to wait at least double that time to resolve the problem.

And the store manager's letter to me told me that they were reviewing their procedures and ensuring staff are correctly trained in R+R policy in there as I shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes if I'd been overcharged. Looks like the training was extremely effective

Jailhouse Babe- Did you try R+R on the lager in Cross Point(Walsgrave Extra) on Friday? Its just that i was in there on Friday evening and tried the 'Budweiser' R+R but they were having none of it.
One of the girls on CS asked if 'my wife' had tried this earlier.
The duty manager was called and he suggested that the right packs of Bud were being delivered the next day and that the wrong packs were put in the place where the 2 for 16.00 offer was!
    Yeah! Whatever!!
Couldn't be bothered to argue as i was on my way to Cov Speedway so just got a refund and give them the beer back.

I'd love one but I'm only pretending to be a mystery shopper...... whoops shouldn't have told you that.

staff are well aware of the things that they are judged on by the mystery shoppers and the Refund policy awareness is not one of them......

Does anyone know if the CS staff do actually receive training regarding the Refund Policy? Why do some act so dumb about it - maybe it was something that was covered on their day off .

I should think i am not the only one getting tired of the lies and gobbldeygook excuses to get out of giving a refund. I think i have heard them all several times over . This week i have been told i couldnt have a refund as it was only last week that they told me i was abusing the policy . It must be about 3 months since i was in that store and i have never seen that bloke in my life before nor had any refund from them. Utter twaddle.

Healthy Living chicken breasts...pack of 2...SEL price £9.44 kg and pack price £9.81 kg. Got 6 chicken breasts and full R&R of £7.87!! CS lady not very happy tho...said people like me cost Tesco millions every year. can't understand that as its their policy to refund if they overcharge you.....and it was only my first R&R!! made me feel really guilty
