the reason that the weight had "increased" was because the till was dividing the price of the item £2.94 by the price per kilo to work out the weight.
The weight is not pre programmed into the barcode, it is worked at at the till using the current price per kg and the price as programmed on the barcode. No dubiousness involved, just the programming of the computer.......Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

DUDER HOPES THIS EXPLAINS IT FOR YOU
the label on the beers statesCarlsberg Export 24 x 300ml
Carlsberg Export/ Budweiser 20 x 330 ml
then a few more lines of beers but they all seem to be right
not only is the bud wrong, but they also sell Carlsberg expert 20 x 300 ml so i got 4 bud and 4 export with my bro-in-law for the match on sat with my meat for the BBQ.
to sum up you actually get 30ml less per bottle than you paid for.

got told off today at Burton tescos by duty manager Steve
. microwave with grill MTG06 sel 44.99 went thought 49.99
and tescos lamb joint with Rosemary pack 3.99 till 4.99
checked receipt at till and double checked on the way to the c.s desk.
inform the c.s girl about the microwave went to look and came back the price was correct so i said i will show u. face hight was the large label 44.99 . told it was not the same model. but i said it was and compared the labels witch was the same model and decryption. she fetched a manager and came back to me. said r+r does not apply to electrical goods and only £5 would be given back to me no problem with that then said the lamb was wrong. she then fetched the manager to me and was told that i must be a pro shopper because i checked my receipt before leaving the store and this IS NOT ALLOWED AND IF I DO IT AGAIN I WOULD BE BANNED the offer on the microwave of 5 pounds would stand but full refund on the lamb. and that he would be informed that i was in the store every time i went in. i have spotted mis prices in this store for a few weeks and posted for others on mse but have not done r+r for 2 months in his store.:rotfl: given up on tesco do a lot os boots offers. but weekends are now in orange trackside b. lol

Sorry if this is off-topic, or if it already exists elsewhere but could somebody please create a "Dummies guide to Tesco" type thingy?
I have been dipping in and out of these Tesco forums for months but havent really got a handle on it yet. A guide for newbies to battling with Tesco's C/S, policys, best practice, FAQs etc would be superb.
Anyone.

getting used to this. 4 x boxes Carslberg today. V confused CS desk about the offer and size of bottles but sorted R&R in the end. Removed signs straight away, though!0

Sorry - re the beer confusion - does the offer not kick in at all (because the products are diff from advertised) or are you getting R&R because you're not getting as much as you should for the (correct) price??0

A few seconds after she went, I decided to follow. I saw her at a distance looking at two SELs that she'd just removed from the shelves. She put one in her pocked then walked back to CS (the other way to which I was watching from, so I nipped back as well)
After she got back to the CS desk, she said she could only find the £3.56 SEL. I told her I definately saw a £3.44 SEL and I saw her remove the other one. She refused to accept it, asking why on earth she would do that etc.
I had almost exactly the same thing happen to me a while back. Was overcharged on an item, offered to show them where it was as they when to find it. Noticed some very suspicous gesturing between the member of staff and security guard. The member fo staff went to find the label, and I was instructd by the security guard not to go with them when I attempted to do so.
Then suprise suprise - the member of staff could only find the label with the correct price on it. Obviously i was annoyed but I kept my cool - yet despite thsi I was banned from the store when insisting it was a misprice.
i reckonit is better not to argue your case for too long and just keep reporting them to head office and getting refunds in the forum of vouchers / money cards.0 -
I used the fact that the sign said 24 x 300ml bottles (they don't do these!) and yet there are only 20 in the box so less lager than I should have got thus overcharged and R&R0
