Yes Fdj100, Ben is in one of us and a staunch member too. He is definitely not one of them on the other side of the fence.

No, the red SLVR has never had a previous price

it's not been sold before, and they legally can't say the previous price as there hasn't been one

but, yes, it will be 129.97 when the offer expires, BUT, no POS or SEL states that (other than the website)

so, it's a legit, bang to rights R+R

The phone will be £129.97 after the offer, at the moment it is in the offer at £116.97. So whats the problem here?

Ok, its not got the 129.97 crossed out on the SEL, but it does have 10% off. This pobably due to some highly payed muppet at Head Office setting up the label wrong, but the fact doesn't change: the phone DOES HAVE 10% OFF.

Can't see how an R+R is due here. Not sure even the law would back you up here as Tesco's SEL system is there own, the law wont cover whether the SEL was white, yellow or bright green and covered in tinsel.

The phone does have 10% off, you know it does, Tesco knows it does, so why does everyone want an R+R over some technicality of the SEL colour/layout?

Not having had a chance to do any shopping in the last few days i havent actually seen this one yet, but from the description given by the original poster here is how it sounds.,

large display with loads of phones on it .... . big sign says 10% off all phones .... every phone there has a price displayed as crossed out and a smaller one (10% lower) being what its actually selling for .... except one phone which just has a single price displayed. The logical assumption is that the '10% of all phones' applies to that phone too ("all" is pretty encompassing) and so people expect the price to be 10% lower or the offer has not been met. Now you can say... but its going to be 10% dearer in the future so it must have 10% off now, but that isnt the same as what the sign says .... it says nothing about the price you see is 10% less than we will charge in the future, it says "10% off all phones".

Anyhow, like I say I havent actually seen the prices or the displays yet, I am going from the description but it sounds reasonably convincing to me :)

Tesco Batley today had 2 phones which did not have a yellow label or previous price. I scanned them both, and one was 10% lower than the SEL, and the other was about 20% lower.

After the last phones promo ended, many of the phones were actually reduced further to less than during the promo..so beware of OOD promo labels...always scan first.

    Great fun today.

Some Dude here told me that Tesco Worcester Warndon CS Staff were a nightmare - always refused R&Rs.

Work took me in that direction so decided to poke my nose in.

Loads of meat wrongly priced - but not being greedy grabbed myself some wrongly priced duck.

Paid - off to CS - very small but hard-nosed type lady there.

Did the Hugh Grant style 'crumbs I think I was charged too much' line.

The fun began - she tried to stop me accompanying her to the duck aisle - The Dude insisted.

Tried to make out that the SEL was for "the special offer duck" and not the "normal duck".

    And on and on.

Back to CS desk - she still wouldn't give in.

I even read, to the delight of a few chosen Dudes, the Tesco policy out to her in my best Forest Gump voice.

Anyhow, a bit more aggro - when I suggested a call to HO she caved.

"No skin off my nose" - yeah - The Dude Abides.

So Dudes - if you are near or passing Tesco Worcester Warndon - get in on my jihad and do some R&R - ask for the CS lady just under 5 foot tall with the sore nose,

    Duder

    Well
I should try it on. I work in Worcester and normally don't stop there... buttttttttt.... I feel a visit coming. Will keep you posted

Must admit I've never seen this - I'm a regular reader of this thread.

It's a tall order but one of the Tesco Dudes may help you.

Failing that if you can discover the e-mail format for Tesco employees e.g. r.retain@tesco.net - then get the name of the Chief and slip it into the same format.

Unless his name is Smith, then you're !!!!!!ed.

    Or Jones.

    Or McDuff.
