  • Hi, confession time. I once opened a bottle of red wine to find that it was bad - I didn't have more in the house so I drank it anyway - it wasn't so bad after the first glass!! :embarasse AG

I wouldn't know a good wine from a bad one... they all taste vile.

Woo snow day.... but mountains of computer work to do. Still £15 fuel saved and over 2 hours commuting to use for more fun things!

  • £6.20 spent on fruit and veg at the market on Saturday morning... otherwise a NSWknd!

I did 3 gym classes over the weekend (so I need to update signaute again - I can't keep up with myself!). One class only had 3 other people and the instructor so we had plenty of space to jump about providing a really good work out. Plus a wellie walk to and from the gym each day (6.4 miles in total).

Just reported the two films we watched over the weekend on CP - now at £18.80. I'm hoping to reach £50 before I cash in. I'm enjoying sewing too much to go clothes shopping at the moment. Shame the don't have vouchers for fabric shops!

  • And £47.99 in from mystery shopping - I think it's only about £19 profit though, will have to consult the spreadsheet!

:eek:that is impressive I managed 1 and I drive there eventhough it's less than a mile.

We had very few Sunday morning as well, people are a bit silly when it comes to snow down here.

Also well done on the Mystery Shopping that is a lot.

    Hi MRN

Just catching up on your thread, wow, you are a busy woman and just the thought of your wellie walk (:rotfl:) made me feel tired

I see you ladies are talking about a Baileys recipe, i've not made it for ages but here is the one I use:rotfl:
    • Half a bottle of cream sherry
    • Eighth of a bottle of whiskey
    • 4 eggs
    • Tablespoon of Camp coffee
    • Half a tin of condensed milk
    • Teaspoon of vanilla esscence
I don't even know if they make Camp coffee anymore but it was/is the real thick gloopy coffee mix. Brand of whiskey and sherry doesn't matter, cheap stuff is fine

Just whiz it all up together and you can drink straight away :D:D

    Regards
    ATT

  • End of the month round up:

Grocery spending: £234.56 - woohoo under £250 and we started January with an empty freezer!

£8.57 left over the buffer in my account - transferred to ISA

Payrise (back dated to August) received - transferred the difference between new and old salary to ISA £84.04 (student loan also dipped below £2500)

New ISA balance is only £ 121.67 off my target.

Being a PAYG customer at my gym would have cost me £312.95 so far - I calculate 14 more classes and I'll have made my membership money back - great because I still have 7 months of annual membership left!

A full set of packed lunches (or free lunches) for January.

It's chucking it down with rain outside and I really don't want to make the 4 minute walk to my garage to get my car out! Oh there's my Mum's voice again "We all have to do things we don't want to"

Now you seeI really need to pay attention as I thought it started in Jan. I did think neither wonder you spent no money as you must be living in the gym :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
