You are quite right - what is the WORST that can happen, and is that really so bad?
You're getting the hang of this DFW lark :T
yep!.. only thanks to you MSErs! :T
I don't know WHAT I would have done without all the words of wisdoms, experience and encouragement here.
My dad said to me today.. had I thought that DFS (Hitachi capital) may take back the sofa? ..
But much as I love it.. it's a SOFA!.. There will be others. I know that is unlikely to happen.. I have never seen DFS selling 'taken back sofas' . haha. But if they DO.. then it do.. I'm past caring now really.. and just want to get on the right road out of DebtsVille.
Thanks for your support and encouragement Hypno.. I really DO mean that. :beer:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

You really have woken up with the right attitude today!! Make sure you keep your mind that way - the worst they can do it take you to court and like you say you have proof that you are trying to reason with the creditors.
Sounds great about the possible insurance payout, even if it only pays off one of your smaller debts it will free up a bit extra money each month.
Keep up the good work!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hmm I need to read back, why are you sending Egg formal complaints?
Eupho xx
They've not responded to any of my 15 letters (re 2 accounts) since 7th February  AND they sent me a naughty letter (which I received on the friday before the last Bank Holiday) pretending to be from a debt collection agency, giving me 72 hours to reply before they started sending people to my house! So, I sent them a Special Delivery letter guaranteed to be received the next day, containing a copy of all previous correspondence and some relevant bits from the OFT Debt Collection Guidelines.
(If you have made a fair offer of repayment (which I did and have been paying them since February) the OFT considers the debt to be deadlocked. In this case although creditors do not have to accept your payment, they can't send anyone to your home without your agreement.)
After my complaint I had a letter regarding one of my Egg accounts asking me to send my full I & E details - I've been doing that repeatedly since February  BUT having resent it they now want to discuss it over the phone - I've told them no way and that if theydon't agree with it I'm happy to put it before a judge and let him decide. And I really am cos I know for a fact they'll get much less, if anything , if they go to court :rotfl:
Anyway I really don't want to scare you as creditors seem to behave differently to different people. I was terrified when I first started out as I had read such horror stories about Cap One and Halifax but they both accepted my payments straight away.
I hope you've had a nice Bank Holiday weekend. I don't know whereabouts you are in Cornwall but we had a scorcher yesterday and rain today!
Best wishes (and sorry for rambling again - that's what happens to me after a couple of glasses of wine  !!) CM, xLBM - Feb 2009 :money:Debt free - March 2016!

Thankyou Flower
'Amazingly' .. I'm still feeling really positive. :T
Even though I have only had one (!!) reply so far.. (which was a no chance missy!) .. I can see what I have to do now.. and can see mostly.. how I need to do it.
I think.. haha

Hmm maybe near you then? haha .. Yes a scorcher yesterday.. and rain today..
I don't think I am scared of this any more.. I just want to get into 'battle' now.. I feel as though I am on my fiery steed and it's chomping at the bit ready to *Charrrrrrrrrrggge* ... (like they are ready to charge me.. at waayy more than £12 I bet! haha)
Anyway.. send someone to your house to do what??? .. come in for a cream tea
and as you say.. unless you agree.. (and who would??) ..
Isn't it only court appointed bailiffs that can come and take anything? and you would have known alll about that had it been happening. (court stuff I mean)
Tell them Eupho says sod off..
:rotfl:
I need to read back over some of your posts... how far into this are you? .. Have you got your CCAs? I am thinking of applying for mine soon..
I know I wont need them until it starts getting more forceful (DCAs/Court) _pale_ .. But I read that it can take aaaaaaages to get anywhere with a request sometimes. So I thought if I ask now.. at least (hopefully) I will have them if there are any that are unenforceable and ever needed.
and I may have put a fat splooosh of whiskey in my hot milk.. haha xx :wave:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Funny actually.. 'kind of' living near eachother.
I have often wondered if any of the MSErs actually know eachother in real life.. and have no idea they are actually talking to someone they genuinely know.. :rotfl:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

I was just thinking...
Your CAMHS doesn't have a Lidls nearby does it? and a pretty popular ice cream place in the other direction? .. :rotfl: that would be funny.

Wellll .... I woke up this morning.. or 'Dreamt up' rather. That my doorbell had just rung, that I had jumped out of bed.. looked out the window.. to see a beeeeeg black van outside and some beeeg bloke knocking on my door.
For a moment.. I thought.. holy Moses!!! that was FAST! I have only missed one 'correct' payment!! (have token payments now, awaiting offer acceptances)... and they have sent Bailiffs around already????
Then I thought.. Hey! Eupho!.. wake UP you idiot!.. So I did.. looked out the window.. et voila! no beeeg black van.:rotfl:
Funny how I am obviously dreaming about all this now. I think It must have been talking to CM last night about 'people' visiting.
But the funny thing was.. I was (in my dream) .. about to go down stairs and tell them to clear Orrrrrrrf!!
So.. I supposed.. even in my dreams/subconscious? .. I'm becoming 'not scared' too. Because I was ready to 'Fight' not 'Flight'
(I THINK!) _pale_

I'm looking forward to the post again today.. (I want some replies!! good or bad) I hate this 'Limbo' ..
Today I can finally send back my (recorded delivery) 'Please reconsider' letter to Hitachi Capital (DFS Sofa).. Even tho they were so meanin their letter.. I reeeeeally wanted to say to them .. 'C'monnn thennn'..'
But I didn't.
:rotfl:
Anyway... I don't know why I am laughing now.. I'm probably going to turn into a big gibbering wreck when it all does kick off _pale_
Oh! Oh!.. and my eldest son (who was doing very well out of me.. Paying his £25 per month college bus fare.. and mobile phone contract bill.. and (quite a lot of) pocket money.. and is already allowed to keep the £30 per week EMA)
Started his first day of 'work' yesterday!... :T
He has taken on his own bus fare.. (and I'm aiming to give him the mobile phone contract to pay too once he is a little more up and running)Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
