Needed the F on the end.

A quick goodle for "PCI 1799 700F" would suggest you have a Belkin F5D7000
  • ah, i kinda knew that, but there are a few different versions and thats where i come unstuck.

thanks for all the time your taking to help

I'm guessing you want the latest driver, which is at the bottom of the page:

According to this page which I found, you have a V.7032

God I hate Belkin, according to that page there are at least 4 different wireless chips (Broadcom, Realtek, Atheros and RaLink) that they have sold under the part number F5D7000
  • trying now, thanks

  • okay i appear to have the correct driver installed now, but its not connecting or showing any available networks.

do i have to create a new internet connection or something ?

Does that card use the Windows standard wireless configuration utility or one that Belkin wrote themselves?

Might need a reboot before it works properly?

either or, but i currently have it set to the belkin configuration.

i think from where i have since used the internet through a wired connection i have lost the set up details of my wireless connection. but in creating a new connection i get nothing.
