a couple of questions for you, is springboard uk a legit site, i have registered, i jut need to activate via email, i cant seem to find any real info on it.

I done a whois query It was registered on 05 Oct 2007 to an Andrew Reid (domreg@visioncritical.com) in Canada. On the Springboard website itself it does state Springboard UK is brought to you by Angus Reid Strategies, a well-respected research firm based in Canada, with offices in London and globally.

It looks legit to me but it is strange I can't find any reviews on it.

Also on toluna, are you allowed to answer the sponsored polls as many times as you like to make up your points.
You can answer each sponsored poll once. Sometimes there's a glitch that would allow you to answer a poll more than once but I think that's fixed now.

I get one or two surveys a month from Pinecone, usually just the one. I also get to test about 6 products a year.

You do not need to register a company to fill in surveys. The article says you should register as self-employed, which is not the same thing and I also disagree that this is required.

Any income from surveys would be taxable in principle and you have six months from the end of the tax year to inform HM Revenue & Customs of any income which has not been taxed, i.e. by 6 October 2010 for any income between 6 April 2009 and 5 April 2010.
Hmmm, k, that's a bit clearer - thanks! Still, I'm surprised that the survey sites themselves don't warn about this, though, if the requirement is genuine - I can understand not wanting to put people off, but you'd thing they'd cover themselves legally.

Yes, as long as you're completing a self assessment tax form there is normally a section for "additional income" there.
Nope, I'm in full time salaried employment with a fairly major company, so no self assessment for me - surveys are just a fun way of making a little extra home improvement money. So I'm not sure what I'd have to do to keep Mr Taxman happy, if we do have to pay tax on this kind of thing...
Never underestimate the power of the techno-geek... ;)

Tickbox.net: You don't earn money but you get entered into prize draws and I do remember at least two occasions looking at the IWIWIW board on these forums and seeing people win prizes from it. I like the site too as it's easy to use and the surveys are interesting.

Focus4People: Never attended one of their focus groups but they do a lot in London and I'm always on the lookout in case there's one while I am there. They seem good though.

RPM Research: Been to 5 focus groups with them, helping shape new music releases, and the greatest hits of other artists. As an obsessive music fan, these focus groups have been great.

Panelbase: Good, but I don't know enough about them yet as I've only been with them a few months and not done a lot of surveys or redeemed a reward.

Opinion People: Been with them for years and not yet earnt a redemption but they seem OK.

MediaTransfer: Infrequent surveys means it takes forever to earn your redemption amount but I have redeemed once and received my reward fine.

Surveys.com: You earn iPoints for doing surveys. Not that many of them.

ACOP (American Consumer Opinions Panel): Despite the name, they don't mind where you're from and you get sent a cheque in £. Takes a few weeks though.

Novatris: You get prize draw entries from these, and there's not a lot of them. I thin they're originally based in France. I once won a £75 prize from them though.

can you tell me how to join rpm research as i cant find the link

    Hi guys,

Was justreading though the forum there as I have recently joined up to a number of survey panels. I'm just starting out so haven't made much yet. I was quite surprised that no one seems to have mentioned Consumer Pulse in this forum? I was reading another forum on MSE which is dedicated to consumer pulse and it seems to be the best one around, although you can only join by invitation or by finding a banner. You enter shopping items you have bought in that month and then recieve points for them, they are very easy to clock up apparently and you get paid out in vouchers!

I am unfortunately not with Consumer pulse, although not without trying to be!!! I've been searching high and low for banners to join but just cannot find any!! Was wondering if anyone new any links to join or know where any banners are?????? There are a couple on the consumer pulse forum but none seem to work anymore!!! I know you can register with volunteer4panels.com, and hope for an invite that way. I have already done this though.

    Thanks in advance xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
