What are First Direct like when it comes to application processing now adays.

I applied 2 years ago thinking it would be a easy being a HSBC customer however it turned out to be quiet difficult.

Basically I was grilled by an underwriter, I thought I was on trail for murder or something in the end i told them to duck it !!

Well funny you say that, I was saying to stephane last week that someone I know who banks with them got grilled when they went for a loan, they were asked how many cigs they smoked etc - the lot (towards outgoings I s'pose).... it was nuts back then.....

Well when I applied first direct they called my employer asked how long id worked there then insisted they wanted to be put through to me :eek:
