Ahh see now you can't get a CC unless you bank with them, same as HSBC - hmmmm - so is the CC unenforceable hehe - had to ask! :rotfl:

LOL, yeah we do bank with them techincally. We have an account that X amount goes inot each month did that for 6 months prior to opening CC.... CC is just in his name. I CBA wtih 1st Direct.
And we got approved sooo yeah. I had an account with HSBC in Canada and an account with them in aussie. So i dunno if they had my info on file

For what it's worth, here's my timeline:-

Sunday 16th - filled in online application
Monday 17th - got a confirmation e-mail with the 'return it to us as soon as possible so we can complete our final checks.'
Wednesday 19th - info pack and forms arrived
Thursday 20th - posted back to FD
Friday 21st - credit file searched
Tuesday 25th - welcome pack / account number arrives

Forms received she has confirmed £500 o/d offered along with 2.5k Credit card. She said the form is on the system and waiting to be worked and a welcome pack should follow. I thought she was going to open it then and there pffffttt!! We will have to see.

Did you ask the killer question mate - Is it guaranteed? Did you not ask her to open it there and then for you? Thing is the wording sounds familiar to mine last year, she never said "it is completed and opened" did dshe matey?

I'm trying to establish if they have done the additional checks mate - personally, I doubt it cos I was told it is done and then they open it so for them not to do this suggests they have not actually looked at forms as yet....

yea a welcome pack *should* follow, as with all new accounts - she never though said a welcome pack will follow, do you want your account number - iyswim?
