Still haven't had my application form.

It's too soon, you only applied yesterday, you'll probably get it tomorrow or Monday and you should get a definitive answer by Thursday/Friday next week.

Never had a problem with FD myself even when I wanted to open a second cheque account.

It looks like that the information pack is not guaranteed to be in the post for you. You'll either get a letter saying "sorry" or if you pass the first stages of the application process then they'll send you the pack for final checks...

Whereby my app pack is guaranteed - cos it came Friday - still not signed them, I doubt they will accept me - bummer!

We both rung and spoke to them though, Innocent says he feels confident going on what the advisor told him, whereas I feel less confident lol.... I may ring back today and see if someone different will tell me anything different! Arghhhh - I sooo want to bank with them but just know the outcome...

Innocent, i'll wait til you get your forms and send them back eh? :rotfl:

Yea I just noticed that too - makes sense what Stephane said, but then when you spoke to them you said the sticky one ;) would personally look out for your application so maybe she feels she can 'push you through', as such? Hmmmmm

By the way, for the benefit of others we were texting each other that is why we know what the other said on the phone etc, it's not on the forum! :D

What make you think that? What has the advisor told you? my file was far from perfect either & got accepted. They were not willing to give me their credit card at first but I eventually got it after 6 months.

First Direct must have already checked your file in some way, otherwise you would not have received the application form to sign...so if nothing else comes up at final checks, there's no reason that they should decline you. What do you think?
