She said "you have been offered" however she never said it was opened. I do have a positive feeling though.

Exactly, I checked Experian earlier and there was no additional credit check. It is deffo not yet guaranteed.

ahh see that's the thing, I expect nothing is finalised until the person actually accepts you and issues an account number and then it is guaranteed....

I had the same last year mate, they had my forms and told me it was guaranteed then declined me the next day - thanks! twits lol

If you get £2500 credit card, isn't bad to start with but if I were you I would wait 6 months then apply for their Gold Card as the minimum limit is £3,000

Just figured out why it wasn't processed by the advisor I just spoke to. The account opening team closed at 9pm so I was through to the main callcentre for existing customers! That explains alot as I thought that the advisor supposedly should open the account, obviously the person I spoke to was not qualified lol

BTW the number is 0800242424

They have received the forms, they have not looked at it yet, they haven't done the additional checks, will be done tomorrow. Give them a call tomorrow afternoon, you should get an answer.

I thought you got selected for gold mate? My salary and income etc more than meets the criteria but when you apply online they only allow you to apply for a "Credit Card" - I thought they decided who got gold and who got black?

Maybe I mis understood it but I could not apply for gold... anyway, I want the bank account - fcuk the card!

I was told they offer everything at day one, so why would you have to wait 6 months? They pre authorise you for everything at day one, she told me I could apply for a loan once account was sorted and it'd be instantly accepted upto my pre approved limits (c£25k IIRC)....

TBH I have a 5k limit on Sygma so do not really need a high limit (although nice) :beer:
