seatwave question

hei shockers,
did you succeed to reach them on the phone?
I also had the same question as spora and received no answer from seatwave; I guess the good faith is a must in those situations; and I was also thinking who would get in so much trouble for the price of two tickets ... already paid, plus commission ...0 -

Yes i hope for some news also, i will try contact them again today on a payphone in the town which might be cheaper, but i would also be expecting an email today, its been 4 days since i sent emails to them. You are right, for such a big company they should be more organised than this. Hopefully we will have this solved by the weekend because the tickets have to be sent by next week in my opinion to ensure safe ontime delivery.

Ok guys i have an update...
Seatwave emailed me this morning, apparently why UPS system isnt working on my account, and probably with your account aswell mia wallace is that their UPS Contract only covers United Kingdom, so i have to fulfil the order myself, i have pasted below what they emailed me, but unfortunately, now i have a new question, how do i prove to seatwwave i have posted the tickets? i cannot afford to use UPS myself, its 40GBP, plus a small fee for signed for, i will post by registered post to the seller but i dont know how seatwave will track this. This is a mess.
Dear Paul,
Thank you for your email,
I apologize for any confusion caused by the previous email.
Unfortunately Ireland is not covered by our UPS contract at the moment; therefore, you will have to fulfill yourself.
Payment will be with the usual payments, 10 working days after the event.
Once again, please accept my apologies for the incorrect and lack of information you have received previously.0 -
Dear Paul,
As I made a review of all correspondence I had with seatwave staff, I found out the followings:
In the confirmation email (the first message announcing you that the tickets were sold) it sais:
"How should I send the tickets?
Sending from within the UK?
We'll shortly be sending you our sellers pack with everything you need, including a pre-paid, self-addressed envelope, to send the tickets to your buyer.
Sending from outside the UK?
Please send the tickets to your buyer using any registered mail service such as UPS or DHL, making sure they get to your buyer in good time for the event. Once they've been sent, enter the tracking code by logging into My account and send us a receipt of the delivery costs. We will reimburse you when payment for your sale is processed."
Then, in another message datedApril 12, I received an answer from support saying: "Please send the tickets via UPS, DHL or Fedex to the customer and enter the tracking no. used into your online account. If you then send us an email with the postage receipt attached, we will be happy to refund you the post and package fees."
On May 13, I received a message saying: "Log in your account and follow the instructions to send the tickets. You need to send the tickets with a recorded system, the tickets need to be sign for and you should receive a tracking number, which you have to enter in the box allocated, for us to be able to track the package. You will receive €8 in your account for sending the package yourself." (this I don't entirely understand, I hope the 8 euro are not the discount for the post fees)
As I wanted to send the tickets with their UPS service, thinking it will be more safe (and I also assumed there were problems with my account), I got into this big mess but analizing again the entire correspondence with seatwave I think it's ok to send the tickets with UPS, DHL or Fedex.
What do you think?

... but after receiving the answer today I don't understand how much the discounted amount will be:
"Unfortunately the UPS service is only available within our UK, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch territories. You will need to send your tickets using a signed-for, next day service. You will be paid an amount relating to the postage we charged to compensate you for your costs. Please note that this amount may not be exactly what you have to pay - you may wish to amend any listing price going forward to recognise this.
Yours sincerely,
Tom Scott

Hiya Mia
I am just going to go ahead and post them with registered post, i am not going to spend that amount with dhl, ups, or fedex, its just to expensive, and i dont trust them to refund me that about back, i got a qoute and it would be nearly €60 for me to post them via UPS to the uk, and i am no paying that, i will send them recorded via normal post and send a letter with the tickets askin the buyer to contact me when they receive them safely. After i send these tickets i will never use seatwave again. simple as that.0 -

ok, I don't know what to say ... I think it would be safe for you to have a tracking number and to be signed by the buyer.
I'll let you know if I have any other news from seatwave (I wrote them again, they'll say I'm crazy)!0 -

I will be using a tracking number, its recorded delivery which means the buyer must sign for delivery and also the envelope will be insured so im covered that way, you can do this service in the UK, so i am going to do it in ireland regardless, i am awaiting their response before i do anything though.
I'll keep you posted.0
