Did you send the email? What did they say?
Why don't you give them a call......"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Sadly I could not find an email for anyone who I thought would actually give some thought to my letter so I mailed a hard copy Recorded Delivery.
I haven't rung because I've been rather tied up waiting for phone calls on something major I have been sorting out for another person since Monday  That finally all sorted out late this afternoon
And tomorrow I intend to chill out now that I don't need to sit by the computer and phone . I think my "chill day" is well deserved
Fought and won a major battle for my friend

I'm just hoping that your money shows up soon!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

so gone have the days when, as my dad would say when he had a business "The Customer is always right", and when i started doing car boot sales selling new goods, remember a happy customer will always come back, well i always tried to do my best. every week 1 women would come and by birthday cards, so on the 3rd week, and due to the fact she bought 18 of them, I gave her a discount. cant remember what i charged her now, but it i think i sold 18 of them for the price of 12, i use to sell them 3 for 50p.
Anyway getting back to asda i applied there 6 times in 3 years for a job but have never managed to even get an interview.0 -
Bearing in mind my experience with two smarmy and stubborn Tesco jokers illegally ignoring the D&D policy, my conclusion is that the problem isn't really the companies as such. I've received top notch customer service at every single retailer, and I've had bad experiences, too.
It's really down to the person that deals with you. Some go out of their way to keep you satisfied, while others, in the same company, think they're in a position to play God (of their store or department) and are just crap at their job, and that's what it boils down to.
A popular German saying goes "Give a little ****hole a little bit of power...". But if their company puts them right, then all's right with the world.0 -
True Schmansky, but it is up to the company management to ensure that proper process is adhered to and to monitor how customers are dealt with.
Bad eggs do get into companies but it is up to the company to weed them out or let them run riot.
Good luck to the OP

Sorry - have been away which is why I have not posted (I was fortunate enough to win a holiday last year which included spending money and have just come back from a lovely lovely relaxing holiday - well needed!).
No I have not heard from anyone at Asda, not from the local store, nor from the head office - which I consider to be a really bad show from such a large company. No way now will I ever go back there to shop. I'll keep my custom for the stores that show me good customer service.
I did finally get the refund to my card. I checked and checked every day until I left, and the balance still showed as the £14.43 taken out of it. But when I got back this weekend my balance showed £17.76. However, I tried to use my card a few times and it was declined  So I sent an email to the card company yesterday and they rang me today to say that the pending transaction had still been showing at their end, even though the balance had been restored. They have manually rejected the transaction and blamed Asda for the whole fiasco saying that Asda failed to cancel or confirm the transaction which is why it showed pending for so long, weird!
So now I have to give Asda back the £14.43 - which I will do - I do not want their money! I wanted an apology and a change in their systems. The longer they remain inactive the more irritated I will feel about the whole episode.
Asda you just aren't doing yourself any favours. Two of my friends have now come out in sympathy and are shopping elsewhere

Im just about to go do a monthly shop. I usually spend around £300, filling the freezer, kids clothes, and food for the children I childmindfor.
I'm not going to Asda to shop today after reading this, I'm going to Morrisons for a change!
If it costs me less that Asda, then I'll continue to let Morrisons have my custom, and not Asda.
