I agree with Kittykate, also another good tip is DON'T discuss money or how much things cost in public as it were, really wealthy people dont, it really isn't the done thing and an air of mystery is always intriguing

I totally agree with this one.

yesterday whilst dropping my son off at school, a mother, who I only ever said "hello" to came up and said "I can't stand and chat, I must dash I have an Hotpoint Aqueous and a Dyson being delivered this morning, and tomorrow will be the same as DFS are delivering my leather corner suite" Why oh why did she feel the need to say that, she must think shes posh and I am a poor middle age woman, cause I don't tend to my hair and put a face full of slap on to go to the school. Well, tomorrow I am going to invite her to mine for a Lyons Ground coffee and show her my Neff:rotfl: Silly woman, get a life.

This is an interesting one as I am well known among my friends (and acquaintances!) for my bargain spotting eye and how to get things much cheaper than first glance - some of which has come from spending such a long time on these boards, but also the way I was brought up! I don't tend to discuss earnings etc though and people often ask me for my opinion about where to get things cheaply - the more wealthy and not so wealthy alike! Also I just can't keep my mouth shut when it comes to things like tesco clubcard deals and ebay selling tips - and this has made conversation flow massively in many circles! :D

if you can't afford regular facials try and remember to exfoliate your face weekly, it will keep you glowing (as will exercise)
Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help? :p

I lives down year in Devon. I likes me Cornish Pasties made down the road a way in Cornwall - you needs a passport to go down there you know. Well I've seen numbers of folk munching into a good old pasty, but you's know that in all me days I never seen any "posh" parties eating one?

Well I'll be bugg#r#d, I reckon I never seen a "rich" member out eating a good old pasty at all!

So, my tip to you be if you want's to look rich when you really is skint then never be seen out in public eating a "Cornish Pasty"! ...... them rich and posh ones never does that!!!

Oh! ..... and cider. Now when I was a lad that was the cheapest drink I could get me hands on (mind you it makes your nose go purple!). You never saw them rich folks drinking the stuff. Now it comes in "fancy" bottles and you even see young parties drinking it out the bottle! Bloody hell! the stuff costs an arm and a leg to buy nowdays!

Anyway, all you MoneySavingExpert boys and parties out there, I says if you wants to look rich when you be skint then when you be out at your public house then refill your damn pricy bottle of Cider from the water jug on the bar. That looks like you is "minted", always with a full bottle. Bloody pricy bottles of cider, thats all I see's them rich and posh ones drink!!!

Buy a Chrysler 300c, change the grille and stick on some Bentley "B" badges on. Took me a while to realise these were £25k cars, not £225k cars. :o)

You should have laughed haughtily and said something about "oh is that the one that advertises the buy now pay later"

Mt Dad knew a bloke once who used to go in the pub for one drink then leave. He always had a fat wallet and bragged about his riches. one day he left his wallet by mistake. When the bar tender opened it to find his name and address to return it, he found it was stuffed with paper to make it look full of money, and just one note on top. Bloke was rumbled and never came back. How sad is that? At least us DFW people are probably like that 'cos we are generous folk at heart, and always buy the round!!:rotfl:
