mhagster - well done on Tescos bargains............despite the weather sounds like you've had a good day:j
choccy - thanks. Yes it was me looking for a play tunnel. I'd seen that one at argos but its not quite like the one our local shop had. Don't know what it was really called but it had three sort of cubes with windows in that could be used linked together or just one on its own. Looked at all the toy sites I can think of and can't find anything like it. Lady at the shop says she''ll see what she can do and let me know by the end of the week whether she can get one or not in time for grandsons birthday on 12th June.
So, gave up on the search for that and spent half my time today searching for cheap seat pads -need 4 for the garden chairs (stupidly left the old ones out in too much rain !!) and 6 for the kitchen - the ones we've got are a disgrace. Have now decided that just ordinary cushions would do on the garden chairs as they don't need tying,so been hunting for 6 with ties.............crikey some of them are so dear.....just to put your bum on.............
Oh and OH has been next door, make some kissy kissy noises to the cat and it came back.............smugly told me I don't have the knack.........so he's not got a nice little job for the next fortnight..............lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hello KBL,
That's an unusual idea with the curtain rings, I think it will be too fiddly for me to want to do with all that painting somehow, but thanks for the link.
It reminded me of something I recently saw where you get white curtain ring and stick a small white cake candle in the middle (attach to the bottom of the ring). Then add cover the back of it all with a circle of nice material e.g. gold netting.. Then tie ribbon to the top.0 -
My brothers curtain rings had like.. clips at the bottom of them and I stole them from him (well.. asked and he gave) so that I could thread them on a pole and use them to hold all of my stickers neatly in a row.

Sarah, I hope that flickering light at the end of the tunnel is not a train.. SAAARRRAAAHHHHNescafe is so freaking expensive. Lee has this foreign Nescafe from Home Bargains and he actually really likes it. It's only about 1.49 for a BIG jar. BBIIGGGGGGG. He is also a coffee monster.. I'm doomed!!
If it is a train mel it must be delayed LOL cos its not got any closer...... Good job I don't rely on the train to deliver my coffee:rolleyes:
I too get the nescafe from home bargins, but I love my kenco too so get that when ever its on offer and save that for my evening relaxing brews.
Well we mamaged to get a few more jobs done, replanted some of the shrubs in the garden, OH finished painting the Fence panels, just need to nip to B&Q now and get some trelis' and some pebbles for the path and jobs a good un out side, oh and a kennel for the dog must get that this week too.

hello all
hope you all have had a good day
im a lurker and not much of a poster but i had hoped to join in with rudolph day
tomorrow but DD1 moved back into room i used as craft room and DD2 back from uni last friday also shares the room so it looks like a bomb has gone off in it and i cant comfortably get into my stuff.
i have 2 metal tins with scrapbook type pages inside im planning on making cocktail books with for cocktail hampers for said 2 DD and was gonna get some alcohol inks to "colour in " the tins with but havent had the time to but
may still try and download stuff for the actual pages though if i can get on the other puter linked to printer
hope you are all flexing those fingers in prep for all the crafting, making, sewing, knitting, cutting out etc you will be doing tomorrow lol
janey xxxLIFE IS FOR LIVING-I`VE LEARNT THAT THE HARD WAY0 -
Evening all!
I had great plans for my rudolph day prep today was going to label my pressie boxes - but the sun came out so did 2 loads of washing and my book dropped into the basket so sat in the garden next to the pond and then stayed out there to watch the football (fortunately Rangers one so I don't need to live in the shed).
I also stood on the cat's tail this morning so was safest outside as she lays in wait under the table, dashes out and slashes at your ankles
I'm a bit pink and warm tonight but at least my legs no longer look blue :rotfl:.
I did do a bit of knitting while the football was on but was far too nice to stay inside (sorry mhagster).
I have those curtain rings mel - think OH would go mad if I arranged my stickers on them as they're on the dining room curtains.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

oh for goodness sake...the only thread I have this problem with is THIS one - and the problem is that when I click 'View fiirst unread' it dumps me on the last post and then I have to scroll back to see who I have not thanked and I am getting somewhat irritated.
Sorry.
What am I supposed to do tomorrow?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -

Valli, sometimes if I've left it a few days on this thread, I go to my profile and press on 'search all posts' so I can find my last one.
I also find it can be hard if you get onto the page and read the posts, do a reply, then when you go to read it back discover that 2 pages of replies have appeared in that time. It can be like a part time job on here!
On the subject of coffee brands and prices - I've lately discovered that Somerfield Gold top tastes better than the branded ones and I now get the de-caff (gold) too (blue top).
Mel, that's a brilliant idea for those rings.
janey - your cocktail books sound very interesting, do write more about those.0
