That sounds like a brilliant book
I wil have to definitely look in my library and check it out.. actually I think looking in your library is a brilliant tip in itself and you have inspired me to go check mine out and get some crafty books
I have been really busy the past week getting work finished and sorting the kids out whilst Lee did a music video for his federation (don't ask)
I have got a seperated pelvis and when I walked in the house today with handfuls of shopping I accidentally slipped on a leaflet and did the splits.. ARGH DAMN LEAFLETS!!
Valli, I always thank every single post anyway LOL. It doesn't cost anything to thank and you don't get anything for being thanked. It is just my way to marker what I have read and thanking that person for bothering to post their thoughts that day. Without them, I would spend a hell of a lot on magazines as I am a read-a-holic!:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Rudolph Day
Just a quick question,
Is there anything that people would like to see on Rudolph day? Any ideas or specific requests? Your wishes shall be answered *blows glitter much to husbands annoyance*

Good Evening Everyone
Been really busy again, trying to get organised in the new house, writing Reviews for the Qype voucher and doing my college work. don't seem to have enough hours in the day at the moment to get through everything I need to do.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, I'm hoping for some nice weather so the kids can play out and I can get some washing out and some more jobs done.

Where's the Coffee?? Show me the Coffee NOW!!0 -
Mel as a flylady I do that too...and boy did we all come in for some stick a few weeks back from some anally retentive person who seemed to think that only 'useful' posts should be thanked...well if the forum gave us a 'I have seen this post' button we'd be sorted;) - I mean look at my thanks to posts ratio!

Hi all
Mel, are you alright - doing the splits - must have been painful!
Got my tin for coins finally, found an old money box in my son's room! I had seen some sealed ones yesterday but the metal seemed very thick and I had a fear of not being able to open it. So rummaging around I discovered a big PG tips collectible tin with a stiff lid that would be difficult to open, so thought that would do.
What do I want to see for Rudolph day you ask - a Supplies/project?
Any or all of the following -
1. find all the items necessary for a project and put them into a bag.
2. list supplies, ingredients necessary for specific projects.
3. work on a specific project
I'm mentioning this because I've lost count the amount of times I was supposed to write down the ingredients for non-alcoholic Baileys and still haven't.
And I've got a number of occasions for June, and one is a card that has become a UFO as I've been so slow with it.0 -
Phew im finally caught up on thanking people
:j
Must have been the effects of reminding 3 under 6's today to say please and thank you - i may have even commented to the nice man in the take away tonight when he told me my bill was £22.50 I replied back please - in a very much a way you remind a child to say it - But to be fair I have been doing it all day and i was being harassed by text message at the time (but thats another story)
Im trying to decide re christmas whether it is totally cheap to give a gift of a home made voucher instead of an actual dvd which can be redeemed in say March (obviously only for close family not distant rels) Is it too tight??? only asking cause last year I spent a fortune on those must have releases in December and by Feb they were like 75% off on some of them :O eg Sex and The City I bought on offer - £9.99 its now £3.99 thats £6 difference - and well who really watchs their new dvds on Xmas day or over the holiday
opinions would be gratefully recieved
June and Fathers Day for those who have a Dad still (I dont so Im thinking of making a Card of some sort for my mum and possibly attempting to do something with photos maybe)
I wish I were more organised and could reply to everyones posts but i always forget what im going to say and must come across as a selfish selfcentred person - so for that im sorryLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
well phunkles you could always gift a gift voucher instead of a DVD (having said that, after Zavvi and woolies went **** up I would be put off buying them tbh)...
but agreed it's a difficult one...
Having said that my DD has her birthday end of jan and I have bagged some mega bargains for her - which has usually meant she has had something I wouldn't normally buyDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Sarah SARAHHHHHHHHH I just feel like writing that every time I see you now LOL I hope you are finding a light at the end of the tunnel you poor thing! How's the ankle? It's nice when the kids can get out in the garden. And I mean literally.. GET OUT (just kidding) haha!
Phunkles Do they have to have the latest DVD's? Could you get them some brilliant bargains that might have slipped through the net when they bought new ones this year? What I do is browse the 'from 2 pounds' DVD section on the HMV website and see loads of titles my husband missed. Things like 300, Sin City, Stepbrothers (BRILLIANT film), Quantum of Solace etc etc You can then grab one of those giant boxes of popcorns from Home Bargains and make it into a hamperPLEASE
Valli I have noted your abilities flylady - very impressive lol;) I love your post count ratio WHOAH momma! Who cares about who you thank. As long as we don't thank spammers or con merchants (as it makes them look reputable) then we are all just friends amongst each other, surely? People are so crazy aren't they!
Anglea I have noted your requests and shall answer your wishesGet ready for tomorrow.. sleigh bells please LOL Glad you managed to get a money box. We're all set to go now!! Yes, it did hurt doing the splits because I was carrying bags of shopping at the time and my coccyx is sore now LOL
Just a note: You should by now have your Christmas notebooks ready to go. You will see a lot of idea tomorrow and you need to write things down on your project lists to maintain complete organisation and smugness:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Hi everybody,
Haven't posted on here before, but am a bit of a lurker and really admire the way you are all so creative re making personal presents. From Ireland, and have recently (this morning) discovered jumbletown.ie, which has a 'before and after' section. A guy on it has posted pics of his xmas presents made from curtain rings, thought somebody on here might like to see, they're pretty cute and very personal, hope it inspires some of you, also hope I'm putting this in the right place! The post is called 'repurposed, curtain-rings to tree ornaments' and the link is:
