:santa2:Afternoon.
I've only been to my mother's this weekend everything's gone all strange and new and scarey . Think I've got the hang of it now - maybe not :rotfl:.
I think I'm more moneysaving than money neutral as my attempt from Jammy challenge showed. Best comment from the weekend was from ex husband told me off for being too organised - fortunately he didn't know that the bag of pressies he was holding only cost £5 :rotfl:. I'm mostly organised coz I'm too tight to pay postage on things and my family all live 3 hours away
.
Hellooooo to anyone new - we're all slightly mad but in a nice way. I'm kind of crafty but prefer buying new stuff to using it - had told OH that I had't been spending anything but posty brought 5 things yesterday - but ink pads don't count they're necessities. And now I have a stazon pad I'm hoping to stamp some images and sell them on eBay to finance my crafty dafty addiction.
Anyway bag lady is failing dismally at her challenge at the mo and I have some cards to make so back later.
Rusty don't leave us PLM big hugs hunny stay with us nice friendly peeps I would never had my gulliotine without youOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Well in my mind this thread is all about finding bargains that will help to lessen the cost of xmas, so bargains equals saving money and the other thread is about doing surveys, or things that will help fund your xmas. if that makes sense lol :rotfl:
Isn't this thread about where we spot bargains or how organised we are all being? help us all keep track on our progress and share tips on things we can do to help us
I get what your saying focus BUT doesnt saving money add to your neutral fund ?? See its swings and roundabouts :rotfl:Finding a bargain thats usually £20 and you find it for £10.. Makes you £10 better off than you would of been ,so £10 neutral... Yes the bargain could be mentioned on here ... But your £10 saving is neutral
The money neutral for Christmas is the thread to track your progress. This is the thread to share tips on bargains you find. Money neutral is the thread to post things you can do to help !!
See .......all very confussing. Especially as this thread is now 'All occasions ':rotfl: Ooooh i need a glass of wine :rotfl:furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Rusty - don't you dare run away.................I was as confused as you but to be honest I felt more confused on the original one when it first started as I'm not involved with the various 'points' things going on. For me a fairly straight forward 'organized christmas' where we can compare the bargains we find suits me better. Each to their own I suppose.
But don't go.......oh b*** I can't think of the song either
focus -Hey Mary, I would be very interested in what you filled your boxes with because i do something similar every year for my best friendbut normally i just fill it up with alot of things that i come across that i think she would like, but its not exactly cheap lol.
For my friend last year I did a Journal in a tin(pretty one) with decorated notebook; 'New Beginnings' book of quotes as she'd been going through a rough time; candle with 'special friend' on it; Safe keeping jar (jar full of rice or dried beans-loo roll middle in the centre -pretty label and top) somewhere to hide a spare emmergency fiver or something; pin cushion with a dog sat on top; almond body butter;flannel cup cake; survival kit in a pretty box; wheat bag; seaside candle (like one of the old postcard ladies in a swimsuit).................total cost was £7.40 and apart from the bits I made the rest came from the charity shop. We've done it for years now and last year among the stuff she gave to me was a load of ribbon for my cardmaking that she'd found in a drawer..........lol
Just shows how cheap it can be done. We;ve no Poundland or anything like that here so the charity shops are a boon.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
