Hand up!! I am a sad person who writes my christmas cards in january!
I regret that i didnt do my 2009 xmas shopping in the january sales  that would have saved me so much money but then who can afford to spend that much then lol. I might aim to do alot of general gift shoppings this Jan.

The problem with me is if i had done that by Dec i would have forgot where i had put them lol :rotfl:
My aunt bought and wrote two lots of cards last year for every1 she knows (considering shes 80 and its pretty hard to get hold of her as shes always out at various social things thats a lot of cards!)
When we asked her whether shed tried to get organised and bought them in the sales she said no she bought them in November and then bought the second lot it December
So every family member got 2 cards and shes saved the other lot of friends cards for this year - will have to remind her in November shes already bought her cards and wrote them - I have no idea why she didnt click and think shed already wrote them a card I do not know.
Amused us all anyway
Only thing with buying and writting them early is people die - or at least every time Ive bought well in advance and been organised enough to write them the person dies
(shall consult my dvds later and write a list of Xmas dvds)Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
FOCUS: If you manage to save money this year with your Christmas shopping you should (in theory) have money left over for bargains in New year sales. As mentioned before I have a cupboard where I keep stuff but all my gifts bought already are wrapped and put away.
Get yourself a notebook and write down what you buy and who you buy for. Or what you would like to get them and if you see something get it and put it away.
The problem for me is knowing when to stop buying for someone. It is easy to buy a wee bit more because you paid a wee bit less but they don't know what you paid in the first place.0 -
I try to have my birthday cards for the next month all ready to go at the end of the previous month so I can send them out second class.
I have a calendar with everyone's birthdays on hanging in the downstairs toilet so I can check regularly:rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Pretty much what mhagster says
AND after the first year of spending out in January following on from spending at Christmas , the next year you dont have to spend out at the Christmas instead it slips to the January and you save money (dont think ive explained very well so ill eg it
December 2008 - spent on Christmas less than normal and piced up a lot of bargains off hukd and mse
January 2009 - boots 75% off sale - Yes I stayed up til 3am and ordered. And other January Sales and clearances etc
December 2009 - i plan on spending very little on gifts just presents for close people and new people to the family who couldnt buy for in January
January 2010 - I plan on doing most of my shopping in the sales and clearances again
December 2010 - minimal spending again
So the way I see it is it sort of rolls the spending from December into January and the rest of the yearLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
