    Hi

Basically Mel had health probs and decided to leave the thread, it went a bit haywire, and as it was getting so long, a new thread was started by Me + Choccy, as I was going to set Julys challenge.

The new thread basically the same, instead of Rudolphs challenge on the 25th, its renamed as Santas challenge on the 24th, theres mini chalenges set, its not just about organised for christmas its about being organised all yr round for Birthdays etc, basically where Jam-Tarts thread - shows you how to make the money - our thread shows you how to spend it.
Theres all the same crowd, a few new faces, pop by and have a look.

If you go to the post above urs its got the link in for the thread. As we have given out Julys challenge a bit earlier. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all,

Gosh it's all change here isn't it?!

Welcome back Mary, lovely to hear from you xxx

Scattymum - how about going for silver wrapping for men rather than the black, I'd imagine it will be easier to find silver stuff and it would go really well with the women having gold.

I dont know how old all of you kiddies are but I spent an hour this week printing xmas colouring pages, wordsearches and dot to dots for a little bit extra for my friends boys for xmas ............ maybe you could incorporate this into your countdown to xmas / advent hampers

Mrsow - I love this idea and am going to do this and expand on it if that's okay?

My boyfriend has four nieces and newphews under the age of ten who all love crafting and my cousin is 13 and loves Christmas, I'm thinking of doing what Mrsow suggests but adding to it and including other craft activites, Christmassy paper for them to write a present list and letters to Santa and puting it all in a ringbinder and giving them one each on the 1st December.

I've bought craft bits and pieces and am going to put it all in boxes for Christmas presents, one for our neices and nephews and one for my cousin.

    I've bought..

    coloured paper
    jumbo crayons
    coloured card
    scissors
    glitter glues
    pencils
    florescent card
    stamper pens
    white card
    glue sticks
    glow in the dark pens

All of them are safe for little ones.

For the neices and nephews I've added the following stickers:

Ben 10, High School Musical, Star Wars, Disney Princesses, Bratz and a boy themed set.

    :hello: Hi Lucy,

I get the colouring pages from here: http://www.coloring-book.info/coloring/

I get the pages bound and then put that in a little paper santa bag (pound shop) together with little bits and bobs like pencils etc - if I can and if available in the pound shop - I do character themed ones - the best one so far was the winnie the pooh where I also included a small notebook, pencil case and little sweeties (mr T).

I am trying to put ideas together for a gardening hamper, and a 'relax' hamper. I am also stuck for ideas for our male population. :-)

Hi - can I join?? I did post under my partners username last year when making the memory jars and pots of gold!

I'm Jo - mummy to one, and I love being organised!!!

Anyway, so far I've got (for my son) 5 reading books, a craft set, some games (elefun and a postman pat one) and I also won a LeapFrog my first computer from Ebay the other day.

I am not sure what to do in the way of crafts this year for relatives - I am thinking a nice pamper hamper for my Nan and Mum, maybe the same for my 2 teenage sisters. The memory jars went down excellent with my sisters last year, although not sure they'd want another this time. I may also do a little hamper for my son - some DVD's, crafts, chocolate etc!

I agree with the previous poster too - also stuck for male ideas. Mainly my OH and grandad.

    XxX

Here is my Christmas list so far:

    Presents:

Foody hamper for my boyfriend's parents including -

Mugs with choc sachets and marshmallow snowman stirrers
    Small bottles of wine
    Mini pots of jam/marmalade
    Pack of shortbread
    Packet of cookies
Cheese straws/crackers, pot of chutney (possibly homemade) and maybe a small pack of nice cheese? Don't want it to be all sweet stuff
Homemade winter bark minty chocolate crunch slab thing that I don't know the name of :o
    Maybe some homemade candied nuts

Chilli hamper for my boyfriend -

    Homemade chilli oil
    Homemade chilli and pepper vodka.
    Pickled jalapenos
Bottle of Nandos or other hot sauce. Maybe Dave's Insanity sauce?
    Homemade chilli truffles.
    Chorizo/other spicy sausage

Sweety Jar for my boyfriend too. Just been inspired by the retro sweet hamper thread but don't think we'd find a use for the little compartment box thing afterwards. This way i can steal the fancy jar for the kitchen :rotfl:

Pots of gold for various people. Haven't quite decided who to give them to yet.

Make my own mini stockings advent calendar and fill it with goodies.

Possibly a small lavender hamper for my grandma as she's awkward to buy for but I know she likes lavender stuff.

Plus got lots of ideas for homemade decorations, so got a lot to keep me busy! No doubt I'll end up adding to this as well :T
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
